Why? Because it is cemented in the committee's DNA. Trump has nothing, as in zero, to do with it.

I'm probably political right (more precisely a constitutional conservative, but who's counting), and I understand completely and totally what is going on. I know committee hearings are supposed to follow the accepted rules of due process, but not for a NY minute do I think the committee hearings are a trial. Purges never are like a trial.

Not at all. As I posted elsewhere I am fully aware that purges never are trial like.
Curious: are you sounding ignorant on purpose??? Nobody testifies at the committee that is not approved and invited by the committee, ya know, just like the impeachment committee hearings.

The Lying Fake News Washington Post Runs Cover for Cassidy Hutchinson’s Trainwreck of Testimony.

    The Left's Pantheon Of Liars.

What is Cassidy's favorite phrase? “Something to the effect of”. As in: The President said "something to the effect of" "I'm the efn President, take me to the capitol." It's a 9 word sentence. Which words is the witness unsure of? "I'm the President?" or "Take me to the capitol?" No wonder they will not allow cross examination, a first year law student would promptly shred her.

Her words were carefully crafted by attorneys affiliated with the January 6 Committee to help prevent her from being convicted of purgery while slandering people with second hand information that she has no direct knowledge of. Why are their attorneys involved? Their credibility is already in the toilet, this only hurts their credibility even more.

Her "source" has said that what she is saying is both false and that nobody has asked him to validate her claims. In response, Democrats say he's a known liar. If Committee members believe he is a known liar then why are they using his words by proxy? And, why didn't they put him under oath to testify directly? The answer to both of those questions is obvious.

Democrats' star J6 witness Cassidy Hutchinson waived attorney privilege, opening door for GOP inquiry

The Jan. 6 congressional investigation rushed to a close in 2022, one of the House Democrats' star witnesses waived her attorney-client privilege with her first lawyer in a move that could now open the door for House Republicans to question both her and her attorney.

There were exactly 0 police stations set on fire at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

I can't say the same about the BLM riots.

    ~ No Wendy's were harmed on January 6th ...
Nancy P. later wanted to declare Capitol Hill Authoritarian Zone (CHAZ) , but was told chain-link fencing would be less controversial.

Interesting.... Loudermilk wants to look into whether or not Cassidy Hutchinson turned on former President Donald Trump due to allegedly not getting a job on his team. Hutchinson reportedly kept working for Trump for nine weeks after he left the White House.

"""We've had other people who were around and with the White House who have told us similar things, that she was actively trying to get a job in Mar-a-Lago and continue on with the Trump team," Loudermilk said""
