Republicans embrace Black candidates when they are aligned ideologically. Our current Lt. Governor in Virginia is a Black Republican female. She will likely be the Republicans' candidate for Governor in 2025 unless she is beaten out by the current Hispanic Republican Attorney General.
Don't know. Why not list those more qualified candidates and then do a comparison. You think because they are not straight males, disqualifies them?
No they don't. History proves they don't. Conservatives never liked anything non white, often non male and certainly non hetero. You aren't going to convince me otherwise. It's changing as time passes. But they can still only muster up 3%.
LOL. Of course it's data driven. 4 black in House out of 220 or so R congress critters. 1 black in Senate out of 49 or 50 Senators. That's data for you. Why you ignore it, I guess you are NOT data-driven
That is changing. I already pointed out our diversity among Republicans in Virginia. Your claim was that Republicans will not vote for diversity. The data indicate otherwise.
No, the data indicates exactly what I say. Sure, there are pockets. Haley was gov of SC. But a State will not get one elected Nationally. I even posted a chart that showed there were way way more blacks in the R party back in 1800s after civil war. But then the R party wasn't full of conservative, they were more liberal party back then. The conservative's have mostly been in the south. Where Slavery was gone to war over.
I'll file that under "So what?" The data show numbers of diverse GOP candidates increasing every cycle.
https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...the-most-black-republicans-in-over-a-century/ Here's the history of GOP black representatives, I posted earlier.
Yep, I have not said otherwise. But it's a very small minority yet today. Today's conservatives are yesterday's liberals. There's still a generation or 3 before R's won't care about skin color at all.
I've not refuted your point. I only state that the number/percent of black representatives is still tiny compare to the National average and the number in the D party. I've repeated that over and over and over. 3% is why R's won't vote non whites in general. Many still don't like black people.
If Republicans in South Carolina will elect a Black Senator then Republicans anywhere will. Several more have run. They were beaten by White Democrats.
Your posts read of MAGA talking points. DNC uses charts like I do? That would be a good thing. But I disagree, my posts read of charts and data.
Your claim is an obvious falsehood. Your charts make my point, as do the ever increasing totals of diverse Republican candidates and office holders.
LOL. It's not a falsehood. Since my claim is R's in general won't vote for black people. And 4 out of 220 points that out quite clearly. edit... Here's a reason why it's hard for blacks to represent Rs. Gerrymandered maps. R controlled states have been hindering black voters for many decades. ... The legislative action, taken during a special session called to comply with a federal court order, represents a win for Democrats and the civil rights groups that have waged a long-running legal battle over congressional boundaries approved by Louisiana’s Republican-controlled legislature in 2022. A federal judge had concluded that the earlier map discriminated against Louisiana’s Black voters, who make up nearly a third of the state’s population but accounted for a majority of voters in just one of the Bayou State’s six congressional districts. https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/19/politics/louisiana-congressional-map/index.html
DNC talking points notwithstanding, it's happening now. More people of color are voting Republican. That's not all ... Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com › 2023/10/03 › peop... No, I didn't. What did they do. They were hired, so they were qualified. Was Ivanka qualified to serve as advisor to a president?
The neo-con is not becoming President, or winning the RNC nomination. And every day is further confirmation of that.
you don't think Trump is a neo-con. he is a neo-con in the standard use of the term. He was a democrat most of his life
