I was born in the Bronx and raised in Westchester. I couldn't agree more.

The thing I can not read in BLS employment stats is the effect of part time jobs and jobs in the "gig economy" (That California is trying to sort out between party donors and non party donors. IOW, who gots exemptions and who does not.)
Four is not that uncommon: Lyft, Uber, plus Door Dash & Uber Eats. Is that four jobs?

It was once the busiest in the world. Thanks for making my point for me.

My apologies. I copied the wrong name when I was doing quotes in the post.

Imagine that, tax revenues will be going up in Texas - due to lower tax rates.

You're going to cause their heads to explode. Texas spends less money yearly than New York. I find myself wondering why all the spending isn't causing an economic boom.

California's tax revenue will continue to decrease which means their budget will continue to balloon.

Heard someone report the other day that Newsome's budget fixes were overly optimistic.

Remember when he established his “reparations committee” then told them California is too broke to pay what they recommended?

As an American I am happy jobs were created regardless Blue or Red state. People in TX may disagree with my political view, but they are American, and I am happy for them.

So you mean, idiotic democrats are fleeing democrat states and capitalizing off republican policies only to bring their failed agendas with them.

    Agreed.

Yes, and he said that they have already paid reparations by changing laws, etc., so, no checks in the mail. Blacks are now allowed to steal anything less than $1000 per theft and they are also allowed to urinate freely, anytime, anywhere as reparations.

No, it looks like that blue counties account for the majority of the population growth and these blue counties also account for the majority of Texas' GDP:

It isn't surprising, though, that conservatives are trying to spin those numbers as a win for team red. The reality is, without those blue counties, and without energy, Texas would be nowehere with respect to national GDP ranking. Yet, somowhow they still manage to hang on to the GOP advantage by heavily gerrymandering districts:

This is at the same time when Dems are the majority in Texas, Dem counties contribute more to GDP, and have higher population growth. Somehow, however, GOP votes are worth more. It's curious, isn't it?

    Ok, let's play.

So please explain why hundreds of thousands of Californians and thousands of businesses are leaving and heading for Texas? Is it suddenly not pretty anymore? The weather got bad?

I would LOVE to hear you explain it.

See, it's easy to say "look at all the Democrats going to California bringing their political ideologies with them and making the State rich, but it's also BS. Also BS is your map of Texas and GDP, of course the counties with more people have more GDP. That isn't a notch in the belt for Democrat policies its simple math.

Go find a map with the GDP per county PER CAPITA, then we can talk. Don't forget to include Purchasing Power Parity in that as well. You know, all the same issues that caused people to flee California.

We all know why some people are leaving CA. It's because real estate prices are insane. Why are real estate prices high there? It's the old saying" Location, location, location... It's supply and demand, if the location is desirable, real estate prices will be high. Of course, the free market will eventually take care of this. As people move to Texas, real estate prices there will start increasing (they already are in the metropolitan areas), so eventually a new steady state will be reached.

As to calling the maps I cited B$, that's easy to do without showing your own citations. Feel free to support your claim that per capita GDP maps will look different, I am not going to do the homework for you. Now, I already know the outcome, nut the ball is in your court.

US unemployment was 6.4% in 2021, and now its 3.6% (full employment), with 14 million jobs added, so I'd say it's pretty impressive.

Who pays taxes in Texas? Space aliens?

Texas has disproportionately contributed to that growth. As I said on the first page, California and Texas still haven't reached pre-pandemic employment levels.

I was responding to @grapeape being dumb enough to point out Texas' lack of a corporate income tax but ignore the fact that a personal income tax is illegal here. They gave up that argument when I showed the sources of California's tax revenue.
