It's only a matter of time before one of our ships is hit by a missile, then what?

A Houthi missile somehow evaded the first lines of defense and had to be taken out with a Phalanx gun which is the last line of defense. If the terrorists keep shooting missiles at our ships, it's only a matter of time before they get lucky, then what?

Everyone is saying that Iran's proxies are behind the attacks and I think we all agree on that. Biden has to start getting tough with Iran but he apparently won't. He's not enforcing the sanctions Trump placed on Iran - probably because it was Trump who did that - he's not speaking forcefully, he's responding to the attacks almost timidly and overall he's not projecting strength, all while the world watches.

So if one of our ships gets hit with a missile, what happens next?

 

I would hope that we are monitoring the area via satellite so we could see the launch site and give them a "missile refund!" Of course, we won't miss!

 

IDK. Trump designated the Houthi as a foreign terrorist group and Biden reversed that. Saudi Arabia was going after them pretty hard and Biden pushed back against the escalation. Kind of hard to know what he would do. His policies have not been especially consistent in terms of this conflict.

 

Does anyone know what the Biden administration Middle East policy is?

We have a few months until the election fever requires chaos..

 

So first, make sure traitor Kerry has zero contact with Iran. During the Trump administration Kerry was providing Iran with "guidance" on how to respond to Trump.
Second, impose severe sanctions on Iran and let them know each missile attack will get them more sanctions, and any ship hit or service person killed will result in the US simply glassing over their litter box. We couldn't/wouldn't of course, but the message to Iran must be; do not mess with us, not directly and not through proxies.

 

I don't know. What do YOU think happens next?

Fortunately, this President's greatest strength is in international relations. So I'm sure he'll take the best possible route. BTW, what do YOU think is best? Can you say it NOW, so we can compare? Or will you just wait until Biden acts, and you'll just automatically take the opposite position... no matter what that is?

 

The political strategy will be to blame Trump for causing unrest in the ME, blame Israel for siding with Trump and pulling all our assets out of the region so that nobody gets hurt. We will then reallocate military funding to Ukraine so that Hunter and associates get their kickbacks. That way everybody wins!

 

Biden will blame Trump and send Iran another few hundred million.

No more confusing than it has been for the last 10 or so presidents. Peace in the Middle East is an oxymoron. Most well-established nations deal with that part of the world as oil and money dictate to their needs.

 

Biden will make a speech, lift more sanctions on Iran and go to Do er for a photo op.
