Whats wrong with interviewing Putin?

Why do you think Putin has systematically rejected all requests for interviews from the press around the world, and then accepted the one from Tucker? He did not want to answer the obvious questions about the illegal war, war crimes, torture, rape etc, but he knew Tucker would not ask any tough questions but merely provide him a platform to spread his propaganda, which is exactly what happened.

Tucker was the useful idiot for him.

If you needed to hear Putin try to justify his crimes, then you got it. Maybe you wanted to hear Hitler justify the holocaust too, but what's the point when we already know where Hitler came from, and we know where Putin is coming from. He is a criminal, - a murderer. If I wanted to hear from him, I'd want o hear him answer the tough questions, preferably when he stands trial for his crimes.

 

Who is we? I suspect the MSM and the leftwing propagandist.

And that is fine. Hearing the message he wants put out tells us a lot about him, his priorities, etc. I want to hear what HE thinks is important. It does not mean I agree with him. In fact, I don't at all. But I want HIS unfiltered message, not what MSM wants me to hear from it.
Let people decide for themselves what to think, based on what comes from his mouth, so we can effectively compare it to messages from other world leaders, and compare it to facts from world events. That cannot be done if intermediaries are muddying up the messages.

You can't be so naïve to think Putin will tell you what he actually thinks, or that he will give you an unfiltered view into his mind. Every claim he makes is a calculated move in his propaganda game. This interview was a gift for him, - an opportunity to spread Russian war propaganda to the whole world.

The message he wants put out tells us NOTHING about him. You'll hear exactly what he wants you to hear. The guy is a freaking KGB agent.

This is the problem with giving a tyrant the platform. People listen and think they are hearing the "unfiltered truth".

I love the sound of Russian propaganda in the mornings. It smells like........victory...or.......like.......Donald Trump, - my leader.

 

I don't think there is a movement because people don't want anyone to hear what Putin has to say. I guess I'm more interested in understanding why anyone would want to hear what he has to say. And what kind of person gives a vehicle to Putin? I thought we didn't want to give voices to murderers - I thought there was a collective agreement that the names of mass shooters are not said in broadcasts so as not to feed their lust for fame.

 

You seem to miss the point. I WANT to hear what he WANTS me to hear. That is a message in itself on what he thinks is important. I don't go on what he says as gospel. I EXPECT him to bend the truth or outright lie. I also EXPECT the west to bend the truth and outright lie. Comparing the messages on both sides, and comparing that to what is actually happen is how we decide for OURSLEVES what is actually going on. If we rely on intermediary media to pick things out about what is said, it completely alters and dilutes the original messages. Then we cannot judge for ourselves what is really going on, as it is warped in one direction or the other.

I want to hear what the rulers are saying, whether they are lies or not. I am not so naive as to think what comes out of the moths of leaders in the west or Russia is going to be truth, though pieces may be. I am more interested in what motivates them and what they THINK motivates others.

I need unaltered data, not filtered, cherrypicked data. That does not mean I believe ANY of the unaltered data.

I think for myself, weighing what both sides say, and comparing it to what is going on based on other sources.
