"No one that is sane believes RuZZia will lose"

Same was said about USSR....WaRsaw Pact.....yet here we are?

One of V I Lenins words were ...back in the day....was ...an "indestructible" union of Soviet republics?

Ole Adolf proposed a "ein thausand jahr Reich"?

    And...what happened?

I somewhat enjoy the shrieks from the "consortium" here.....it basically indicates the buggers are scared $hitless.

This latest "adventure" of the Dwarfs is his last attempt at resurrecting an "empire"....he knows it, his life depends on it....Bigly.

If this goes south ....in a few years we might be able to buy jigsaw puzzle kits at Walmart of what used to be RuZZ Federashka.:)

As interesting as it is to read business insider.....I think....possibly they're alluding to merely re-constituting the older models from storage like the 64s 62s etc as a stopgap....who knows it's very vague?
Again...what models and where are these "new" tanks? Indications are Kulga is running up engine production for the T-80s but what Uralvag will do about a production line for the 80 itself is beyond me as they haven't built 80s for decades.
So to follow your thoughts then.... the new kit you think they're mass producing is in fact the same old designs from back in the the 1980s....shed loads of which have already proved to be pretty useless...the 72 was better.

Again...the majority of the crews of those tanks are now dead. The level of experience and expertise has been lost so re-constituting the old "new" kit for new inexperience crews who don't have time to properly train, is this a good thing? Probably not but then I'm not Russian.

...well not really and not really well nuanced either....I mean we could discuss the dangers for the Russian economy changing to a war footing and just how massively inefficient and corrupt the military industrial complex is (back to the T-14 again). The massive increase in spending on defence and ask where the money is coming from and stuff like that and the fact that the primary markets for hard currency have basically vanished (China buys in Yuan and India buy in Rupees none of which you can exchange for hard currency in the quantities they have) so again....where is this money actually coming from....interest rates are going up because of inflation and the central bank is using monetary policy to control it....what happens to inflation if you massively increase government spending...anyway this is all pretty pointless really.....because time will tell.

All this yammering about currency coming from Scotland that doesn't even have its own currency.

A nation state of 5 million.....reminds me of the other carnival barkers....the Baltics and Finland. The smallest populations with the biggest mouths. A product of leeching off of US taxpayers via NATO.

Speaking of NATO, even with all the whiz-bang wonder weapons and training injected into ukie land, they still have 500K dead....10% of your population.

Nothing is gonna change the outcome of this conflict, even if NATO sends its DEI troops. The best showing NATO will have is with using ukie troops.

I literally provided multiple links proving my factual statements. You've provided nothing but bad takes

Speaking of facts. Here's another. Russia has more than 4 times as many active troops as Ukraine. This whole talk about them running out of tank crews is fantasy.

True, but there are two, yes TWO fairly well constructed narratives concerning the war in Ukraine.

Leaving the wrong narrative could require admitting to friends and relatives being wrong, a loss of face
    and reputation.

But within a year the war will be over, and in the discard bin called 'the past'
and changing narratives will be unnecessary.

All we really need to do is mark up the war as 'unwinnable',

as a bare minimum, and then elect a President who doesn't start wars

and it will all work out sort of in the end.

    and close the border.

RuZzia is on a war economy.....US/EU/NATO not even close to cracking a sweat.

If US/NATO were to be in a "war economy"....this clown show in Ukraine by the Rashka would be over by months end.

It's a fact that Russian economy is outpacing its G7 competitors in growth. Despite the war. Despite numerous sanctions. Meanwhile the UK is practically in a recession.

They act like they don't know where the money is coming from. Obviously the government. They employ tons of people to make tons of weapons. Those people then spend the money circulating it back into the economy. Defenses contractors make more money and that money too is circulated back into the economy.

This method seems to have worked for the US and their military industrial complex quite well. Except that unlike US, Russian economy doesn't have as bad of a problem with leakage.

And they talk about the "dangers" of it. As if it will be a permanent thing.

It looks like the Russians will be made to pay in support of Ukraine.
The European Union (EU) is beginning to take concrete steps towards possibly using frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine. The European Council adopted a decision and regulation stating that central securities depositaries (CSDs) holding more than one million euros ($1.07 million) in assets from the Russian Central Bank must separate any profits generated from the primary accounts.[14] The European Council stated that this decision could allow the European Council to decide to support Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction using these profits in the future. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba “welcomed” the European Council‘s decision and called for further “ambitious” and “prompt” steps towards using revenues from frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine.[15]

Yeh. They're shooting themselves in the foot.
They're completely eroding all the trust in their system.

Less people would be willing to deal with them. And is probably the main driver of BRICS+ dominating the global market today. As the trust in Western institutions is eroded more and more, more nations will start to ally themselves and work with BRICS+.

At least if they joined them, their assets won't be frozen and stolen.

Why are you being dishonest and focus on 2022 when the war started. Before Russian economy could shift gears?

The International Monetary Fund's (IMF) forecast that Russia's economy will expand more quickly than the U.S. this year and faster than previously predicted three months ago has raised questions over the effectiveness of sanctions.

The IMF has said that Russia's economy will grow by 2.6 percent in 2024—more than double the 1.1 percent growth in gross domestic product (GDP) it made in October. By comparison, the U.S. economy will grow by only 2.1 percent this year, according to IMF figures.

To paraphrase what has been said of Brazil, BRICS is the economic community of the future, and always will be.

2022 is the most recent year for which figures are available.
As for the US, you seem to have some bad data.
Today, the U.S. Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported fourth quarter real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 3.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2023 exceeding expectations. Growth was in large part due to an increase in Americans making and spending more.Jan 26, 2024

By the Numbers: U.S. Economy Grows Faster than Expected ...
