Wait, how do you know that? You don't think his handlers prepared him for any disruptions? Also, he didn't seem to handle his back-and-forth with MTG particularly well, when he seemingly downplayed her death by (1) getting her name wrong, even though he was literally holding a badge with her name on it and (2) saying that illegals don't kill enough Americans to justify any outrage. Also, what about the guy who was screaming at him about the botched Afghanistan withdrawal? He looked like a deer in the headlights. You people really love to describe **** as sugar, I tell you.

Someone has to pay for all the freebies they buy votes with. Because the parasites wasting our money sure as hell don't produce anything in and of themselves

Poor. Right you are. We don't pay teachers enough by half. Fix that, and more capitalists will see the benefit of a teaching career. Win-win. But as long as the GOP keeps voting against virtually any increase in public school funding, we'll just have to deal with it as it is.

Like most things that are a benefit to all Americans, it isn't without cost, which can be daunting even if you can see the long term gains.

You have it backwards. Has no one explained this to you? A bill to fund additional aid to Ukraine and Israel had already been proposed. The GOP insisted that they would only consider extending aid if the bill included a sizeable chunk of their wish list on border security.

So a bipartisan group sat down together, led by Rep. Lankford (R), and added border security measures to the aid bill.

It passed in the Senate via bipartisan vote, but before it got to the House floor, Speaker Mike Johnson went down south to Mar a Lago to kiss the ring and get Trump's permission. But Trump doesn't want improvements at the border right now because he can't campaign on what would be seen as a success for Biden, so he thumbed it down, and Mike won't even bring it to the floor.

I know that. I keep asking as a way to point out to all participants that some folks are empty of facts, and they know it.

It wouldn’t be news to you if you listened to commentators other the ones on MSMBC and CNN. Think about it. Would you want to raise a family, run a business or retire in a country that is always under a threat from terrorists who can cross you border and shoot men, women and children based upon their religion and ethnic heritage? Do you want to live in a country where you are under constant attack from rockets landing indiscriminately?

You don’t need a link for that. It’s common sense.

There was a time when progressives supported the Jewish people. Now it’s out of fashion among progressives circles because of their insatiable need to find “new victims.” The Palestinians can take the most bigoted positions on the planet and they are they are the progressive’s heroes.

You have a problem with those numbers, lets see yours.
Here's a link to the bill itself. It was in the post you quoted.

    https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/118/hr815

    Diversion attempt fail.
The "National Security act" bill is in fact a "pay Ukraine so they can pay the big guy" bill.
You swallowed whole the liberal media spin on the story.
You got your eyes opened by me.
And now you're pissed at me.
    Grow up.

    No.
The republicans told Biden, there will be no Ukraine aid until the border is resolved.
The democrats decided fine, we'll just wrap this all up in one bill and dare them to refuse to pass it.
Which is what the republicans did.
And the democrats are making political hay with it.

You still avoid the fact that this $118 BILLION national security act is nothing of the sort.
It pays for Ukraine, and Israel, and a bunch of other foreign interests.
And it tosses a pittance to the border to mainly speed the process of making ILLEGAL MIGRANTS legal.
    It doesn't stop the invasion.
It doesn't deport the ILLEGAL MIGRANTS now in the country at bidens invite.

You can hoot all you want that the bill the Republicans asked for they killed, cause Trump.
But we've heard this song several times before.

    Put together a border bill.
Put together a foreign aid bill.
    Pass the border bill.
Then you can have your biden payoff.

I've posted this before, but I'll do it again.
It's my plan to fix the border problem.

    1) All applications for immigration/asylum are processed ONLY at offices overseas, probably at our embassy locations.
    2) No application for immigration/asylum will be accepted at our border or internal to the US. Applicants will be deported/denied entry.
This does two things; first it ends the dangerous expensive treks desperate people make trying to get to America. It literally shuts down the coyote/smuggling/trafficking trades. Applicants can trek to any of our offices overseas and make application. Because we can expect them to apply near their home country the screening and background checking gets easier and more reliable.
Also, it releases our border patrol to do their first job, which is border security. They won't be sidetracked rescuing/babysitting hoards of desperate people who need everything. Border patrol can start with the assumption that if they find someone between entry points crossing into the US they are bad people up to no good.
    3) Make e Verifile mandatory for all job openings and put real teeth into enforcement.
In addition to making it easier to apply for immigration/asylum we need to eliminate the motive for coming here ILLEGALLY. That means, if you aren't in the country legally you cannot work. Companies pretty much comply now, but we need serious penalties for both ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS trying to work and the companies that hire them.
    4) Bond Visas.
Half of ILLEGAL MIGRANTS in the country came here on a visa and simply never left. If we bond them, we can largely eliminate this problem. For example, Universities and Colleges make big bucks educating foreign students. If a foreign student drops out, graduates, whatever, and does not leave the college has made it's bucks and has no incentive to clue ICE in that the student is now in the wind. If the University has to pay the bond, they have skin in the game and will have to let ICE know.
Same with employers hiring foreign labor. If they pay the bond, they will not want to pay the cost of finding the miscreant and deporting them. They'll do a better job with them.
And we can do bonding for visitors. If they overstay we have a whole industry of bail bonds that are experienced at tracking down and restraining bail jumpers.
    5) Sort out the 20 MILLION or so ILLEGAL MIGRANTS now in the country.
We can't deport all of them. And many have turned out to be just the kind of people we want. They have supported themselves, not violated the law, and generally been good citizens. So, establish criteria. If, for example, someone has been here for 10 years, worked, not been arrested, even married and are raising families, have them pay their fine and make them citizens.
If on the other hand someone has committed crimes, not worked, and generally been a drain on society kick them out.
This is America. We are a pretty special place to live and raise families. We have every right to expect people wanting to join us bring something we want/need to the table. If we don't maintain our standards we'll end up no better than the countries people flee from.
Sort out the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Either make them citizens or kick them out.

I posted the numbers in the link I provided
Most of what I am refuting is the lie about how many immigrants are allowed in.
The fake news of MAGA has it all wrong.

    ...
Does Not ‘Accept’ 5,000 Illegal Immigrants a Day
Leading up to the vote, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise on social media said the bill “accepts 5,000 illegal immigrants a day.” Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn added her voice to the opposition, posting that she would “never vote to make illegal immigration legal.”

Bribed Demented Joe screams into the void for 68 horrifying minutes

'His ranting State of the Union address had nothing to say to ordinary Americans.'

Bribed Demented Open Border Joe's angry and shrill shouting had a strong air of desperation about it. 'Reports are that Democratic higher-ups want him to stand down.'

'You can understand why. Multiple polls in the past week show Biden losing to Trump, and he is viewed more unfavorably than his Republican rival. Most Americans say the country is moving in the wrong direction. They say Biden’s policies, including his massive spending on Covid handouts, green initiatives and other things, have ‘hurt’, not benefitted, them. Never has so much public money been spent to so little positive political effect.'

It has hurt us, and hurt us badly. Bribed Joe's inflation has added a $1100/mo to US household monthly costs.

'81-year-old Biden is trying to shake off the impression that he is ‘an elderly man with a poor memory’, as special counsel Robert Hur recently described him. Even three-quarters of Democrats believe Biden is too old to run.'

'It was clear that last night Biden was going out of his way to try to show that he had the energy and wits to do the job. But he was so determined to prove his doubters wrong that he over-compensated with a rant. The vibe was ‘Grandpa’s really mad because we told him he shouldn’t be driving anymore’. And, as it happens, that is the situation – there are indeed many Democratic elites who would like to take the keys away from Biden.'

We'll leave it to Dems to sort out the mess they created

You really don't like being challenged to provide the sources of your views and claims, do you? Your response is always a personal insult.

I read a lot. I mean TONS. Books, news sites, op Ed's, and more. I do not restrict myself to an echo chamber telling me what they think I want to hear. I'll leave that to the right. I research. I fact-check. I'm not quick to believe, even if something seems right.

    See #184.

    Proof, please. Here is mine:

    https://thehill.com/homenews/house/...ll-combining-ukraine-aid-and-border-security/

"A bipartisan group of moderate House lawmakers unveiled an emergency funding bill Friday that includes aid for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan in addition to border security policy, as centrists seek another option for helping U.S. allies after Republicans threw cold water on the foreign aid package passed by the Senate earlier in the week."

You have it backwards. The GOP got what they asked for, then refused to take the bill to the floor. Hypocrites, the lot of them. If they really want new, helpful border security measures, all they have to do is effing vote it in. Lives are in the balance. I know Trump doesn't care, but the rest of them continually caving to his wishes has become pathetic.

Oh, don't worry, "Slow Joe" is now apologetic with regards to "Lincoln" (Laken) Riley. Not about her death, as any reasonably sane person would be, but with regards to (correctly) calling her migrant murderer an "illegal" instead of an "undocumented".

It's truly despicable how "Slow Joe" is apologetic about messing up on political correctness, but not about Laken Riley's death nor about his "open borders" policies that are letting such migrant murderers flood into this country. This sort of stuff is only going to become more and more common, and IF Trump somehow gets into power (beats the cheat, beats the lawfare, etc), then this "slowly at first" sort of thing will all of a sudden become "all at once" shortly into his term and then Trump will wrongfully get blamed for it while trying to deal with the consequences from the twelve years of "stoke the flames of racism" Obama policies that have led up to the bubbling, and eventually bubbling over, of anti-whitism and invasion of migrants that we're seeing today (yes, I'm counting Biden's four years as effectively "Obama's third term" because you and I both know full well that "puddin' brain" isn't calling the shots on anything).

While JohnHamilton and I do have our "back and forth" disagreements about what we think is best for the Republican Party side of things (e.g. I, for the most part, like Trump a lot and he just plain isn't a fan of his), JohnHamilton and I do agree on the truth that Biden ("Team Obama") is beyond awful for this country. To me, Biden's awfulness is plain to see. I still haven't forgotten how his regime forced people working for "companies with 100+ employees" into the extremely difficult decision between "get the jab that I don't want to get in order to stay employed" or "refuse the jab that I don't want to get and become unemployed" for "being a dissident citizen" in the eyes of "Der Führer" Biden.

Now THAT was some truly disgusting **** that leftists pulled... and it was despicable how they treated "the lepers" (aka the normal healthy people who saw no logical reason to bother with the masks or the jabs).

Ummmmmm, I'll DEFINITELY take Trump (no "covid" or "climate" mandates) over Biden ("covid" and "climate" mandates) any day. ;)

$118 BILLION spending bill based on the concept of border security.

$90 BILLION is actually foreign aid and has nothing to do with American border security.

    You were lied to.
Be pissed at the liar who told you this was a bipartisan border bill.
Not me for pointing out the lie you swallowed.

    You're projecting.

We get it. You get all of your opinions spoonfed to you by the MSM, and then you dutifully nod in agreement.

You're so dependent on the media to think for you, you can't even imagine that other people can think for themselves.

But we're not like you. Try to understand that.

You mean the guy who just beat your and your whole party like a rented mule, while never losing his calm smile?

After that humiliation, most conservatives are much too embarrassed to keep spouting the "DERP! BIDEN IS SENILE!" BigLie. But not you.

Why not? Do you not even care how bad it makes you look, about how it zeroes out your credibilty?

Also, what other kook-right propaganda does Moscow want you to parrot today? Just go down the list that they give you. You know, do your usual cut and paste.

Your post had no figures. It cited the agenda items, not the dollars.

You keep dodging the point that the bill would give $90BILLION to foreign countries, $20 BILLION to secure the border.

A border by the way that was far better secured by all past administrations using the same laws and same budget.

Why does the biden administration suddenly need $20BILLION and "radical" new laws??

    Face it.
The bill is a "pay off ukraine so so they can pay the big guy bill".

    You were lied to.
