First of all, the conflict is that Wade got paid big bucks by his lover to go after someone. Keep in mind it didn't have to be Trump they were going after, Willis could tell Wade to go after you or me and he still would have gotten paid with that money being used to pay for a lavish lifestyle.

Second, before the hearings even started, the just noted that even the appearance of impropriety was enough to remove them from the case.

Given the claimed federal funds involved, those funds are clearly within the jurisdiction of this federal government and therefore does not obstruct justice whatsoever.

She most likely will never be governor. But she has money and with her pension she will never have to eat worms and bugs in a few years.

You laugh, yet your MSN seems to concur and said Fani should recuse herself. Her sticking to the case would actual do more harm to the case then good now that her credibility is tainted.

I personally don’t understand how if the attorney did not drop out then the case would be thrown out yet it was perfectly acceptable for herself (the DA) to also involved in the same affair he was involved in without a dismissal. How does that work? Maybe you can explain that to me.

Because the judge wants to wash whiter than white.

He does even want to remove the appearance of conflict of interest and is calling for Wade to resign.

Yet no evidence, not even the slightest, was shown during the hearings that Willis acted improperly.

Trump will not be able to escape this trial.

It’s the exact same wrongdoing. What gave her a pass and him not? Where is the accountability for that wrongdoing? I’m honestly curious.

    Totally EXPECTED...
Nobody (with a working brain cell) actually thought Fani was going anywhere...

    Theres no wrongdoing.

The only reason is that Wade and Willis were in a relationship two years ago.

Obviously, Willis beinga duly-elected official and the lead Prosecutor was a factor.

If it was enough to disqualify him why was it not enough to disqualify her?

That could be the case but it wasn’t named as the exceptional factor at all by the proceeding judge.

Nobody was disqualified, but due to potential for conflict of interest one of them had to step out of it.

Was he “disqualified” though? Or did he resign…?

My understanding is that the judge gave Willis the OPTION of removing herself OR Wade from the case…?

No, the judge specifically said the options were him going or her not being able to prosecute Trump, in other words throwing the case out

And what exactly was that potential of conflict? He was on the prosecuting side.

I agree with that. The US Judiciary seems hell bent on arriving at a compromise (which this clearly is an attempt at) hoping that both parties will be happy, rather than making a decision according to Law no mattter who wins or loses.
