First the French and now the American troops are being expelled from Niger. Not following proper diplomatic protocol should result in someone being fired at State Department. On the other hand, shrinking our footprint in Africa is probably a good thing.

Well, this certainly seems rather silly. Why would Niger pull out of an agreement with the US over some silly little protocol? I think this is a precursor to bringing in a regime of oppression against their people. They wanna get the USA out of there so that they can take over the place and commit human rights violations without the threat of USA interference.

[quote}The military said the delegation had accused Niger of partnering with Russia and Iran on “secret” deals, which the government denies. Officials also said the US had “threatened” action against Niger if the Niamey fails to cut ties with both countries.

The government of Niger is a military junta that took control in July 2023. IIRC it was because they viewed the democratic government and the US/French activities against the Islamists as ineffective.

Biden calls himself a foreign policy expert but others seem to differ.

Believe it or not, you don't have to want to commit genocide to not want US troops in your country. And actually, given Africa's traumatic past, it's not surprising that they are turning to the Chinese.

I'd like to hear what Biden has to say about this, and I'd especially like to hear him say the word "Niger' when he reads it on his teleprompter.

The USA has been conducting police operations across Africa for almost ten years now. We have been keeping the order. Without our presence, Africa is going to do what Africa does best by letting all the wrong people come to power, and the common people will pay dearly.

They can also go running to China, but they perhaps haven't thought this through as Chinese imperialism is just as much a problem as any old imperialist tale from history. In fact, they may come to regret it as China is not a nice player in the world. They have been ramping up their power and control over the world in general and up and coming countries specifically.

please explain how Chinese "imperialism" in Africa, compares to the barbaric imperialism that USA/NATO has conducted in Africa. Think presidential assassinations in Congo, Libya etc and attempted presidential assassinations in ivory coast, Uganda, Zimbabwe etc by USA/NATO.

Answer: you can't because USA/NATO are guilty of this anti black racism and china is not

There was a Russian backed coup in Niger and they won. If course the U.S. is asked to leave.

    Biden ****ed up, again.

China is going to go in there and steal their natural resources! And they will also make an impossible financial deal with their government that has a small print term that will give China ownership after Niger's government doesn't pay them back.

IMO, we'll also never hear about all the Nigerien citizens who will get shot dead getting too close to certain areas of China's new acquisition. Or just getting in the way, in general.

This speculation still doesn't compare to what USA/NATO ACTUALLY DID in Africa. Murder thousands and assassinate political leaders.

Read up on China's Belt and Road initiative and see how that went for the countries who signed up.

Hint: China got countries to pay for railroad lines across their countries, and when those governments failed to pay for their part of the funding, China seized control of those railroads. It was part of the fine print.

China is also moving up in the world and needs to find sources of materials at a cheap price. Africa is full of a wealth of resources that are there for the taking.

People have no clue the reality of what not only US has done to Africa, but Europe and Asia... Much of the research we do, gets it's first in human test subjects in the nations of Africa. Many of that research has killed or maimed hundreds of thousands of Africans.

A Blinken is totally undiplomatic, when he goes to a predominantly Arab country he introduces himself as Jewish.

I don't know why Biden wants to destroy America.
