New York State and City are truly amazing. A criminal can walk with no bail and commit other crimes. Yet a businessman who is convicted by ONE JUDGE with no jury, can have his entire business whipped out by punitive judicial actions by THAT SAME JUDGE.

This is a stern warning to anyone who might be thinking about doing business in New York, STAY OUT! The state is not just overrun with ridiculous taxes and regulations, which has been the situation for many years. It now has a court system that can punish any entity that does not bow down it's political opinions. Personally I think he was able to get the cash but was looking for a stay or is pushing the envelope for his appeals later and also can use it for campaigning if NY AG starts actually selling his ****.

 

My $0.02, $1/2B is a bargain to own a POTUS. So, the calculation would be if they think he's got a good chance of actually winning. Regardless, he knows a lot of state secrets and has firm control of the Republican Party so that's got to be worth something to someone.

That's only a 13.3% rate of return. Not bad, but also not terribly impressive. That's assuming his worth is actually 3 billion, but I have a suspicion that if all the loans Trump is on the hook for were calculated in he wouldn't be worth 3 billion. IF Trump really did have 3 billion in assets, he would have found someone to subsidize the 455 million. There is a reason no one wants to loan him the 455 million.
