To those not familiar with events in Syria this is likely and ISIS response to Russian actions against ISIS in Syria. However, another possibility is a false flag attack carried out by Putin. Putin has conducted false flag attacks against his own people in the past as an excuse to conduct military operations elsewhere. Specifically, Putin bombed 3 apartment buildings in 1999 in a false flag operation designed to foster his invasion of Chechnya. A 4th apartment building was also targeted by Putin's colleagues in the FSB at the time. Russia is in need of an excuse to cross the Euphrates in Syria and this would be a likely reason for a false flag operation. We will just have to wait and see.
