Have common goals, and the first must be the make the nation work- and work fairly, justly, with the objective of improving it for everyone.
Then you have to share values, and the first must be for everyone to take responsibility for themselves, for all their feelings, thoughts, actions, and decisions- all the things that are only in the person's power.
The next is to understand that you do not have the right to interfere with anyone else's power to do the same thing.
That's followed by understanding that you have to work for the future, not the moment, because it is more important than anything that happened yesterday, or today and can't be changed anyway.
Then of course- you also have to agree that nonsense is trash, not currency you can throw on the table for discussion, and until you can understand that, none of the rest is possible.

The indulgence in fantasy, fabricating delusions, and discarding realistic values- are wreaking havoc and degrading the competency of our people and society. Just as you don't use hedge apples and road apples to make apple pie, you don't put people in positions of power for reasons other than they will produce the best results.
