It seems the natural thing to do would be to pay a visit to the mob, and ask them if any of their members would be interested in a one month lease on the property, on very favorable terms.

They could move in when the squatter is out.

In other words, squat on the squatter. What is the squatter going to do? Tell police he was squatting there first?
The tenant will tell police that he's the tenant — and there's an intruder in his home!

Any belongings the squatter left there would be dumped out onto the street — in front of some other home right down on the other street. (The squatter could be given a little hint that he might want to take a little walk down 4th Ave and stay on the right-hand side)

The trouble with New York City is that if any squatter even claims to be a tenant, then if the police show up they will refuse to evict or arrest him. The property owner has to give them a 10 day eviction notice, and the law says only after that can they file a petition with the court for eviction. The trouble is, in New York it can take over 6 months to get a court date. In some cases it can take 20 months. Meanwhile the city's law automatically grants the squatter tenant protections if they have been there 30 days.

It’s part of this progressive BS about how “the tenant is always right” even if the tenant has stopped paying rent for no good reason or, in the squatters’ case, has no lease at all. The legislature and DeSantis have moved to fix this in Florida. Other states need to do the same. In woke states, like California and New York, it will never be fixed.

I would guess in old times, people would set up farms or what not, then decide to move on abandoned them

these laws were never intended to allow people to steal people's property, they need to be struck down as do not apply today

If you make the squatters' lives "a living hell", you'd have all the homeless 'advocacy groups', the ACLU, and radical liberals in the local District Attorney's office coming after YOU!

Face it! We who are just ordinary tax-paying, self-supporting American citizens are thought of by our government as lower than WHALE ****... and that's at the bottom of the ocean! :hippie:

I wonder how bad this is going to have to get before congress actually does something about this.

We need to militarize the border, place trade penalties against Mexico and congress needs to mandate that all asylum claims must be made at processing centers not accessible to the rest of the nation.

On the state sides we need to authorize police to arrest illegals and bus them to processing centers that will rapidly eject them from the nation.

Streamline the deportation system with more judges

we also need to remove the Trump tax cuts for the corps and add in a tax credit of the same percent for those corps that do not outsource jobs to places like India - those that outsource American jobs to places like India do NOT need the tax credit

Excellent ideas, but as long as there's any Democrats in positions of power in this country it'll never happen. It still hasn't sunk in on most on most of us, but irrational, radical Democrats hate (HATE) this country and the class of people who transformed it from a raw wilderness to the most prosperous, powerful nation on earth in less than 200 years.

Some say it's from a shared sense of greed, jealousy, or some kind of really perverse inferiority complex, but whatever it is, radical Democrats and their parasitic supporters are 'in the saddle' now. And they're leveraging government giveaways and handouts to stay in command of processes that are focused on transforming the United States we used to be into a miserable, ruined pile of ****.

it's republicans blocking the bills to address this

In my area, LLCs are buying up properties en masse, and yes values have skyrocketed. That aside, squatters should be removed with less legal wrangling.

Well if its your property, and they can't provide a legit lease, it seems to me you can do all sorts of things on your property that would make living there ...unpalatable. Maybe you can't force them to leave ...but they can't force you to leave either.

'Good morning squatters! Time to water the carpet!' *pull out garden hose*

    or

'This is where I keep my fresh fertilizer collection! Doesnt it smell fresh?'

    or

'I started a new Vtuber channel. Its called 'the pots and pans percussion challenge! Here, let me demonstrate for 12 hours every day.

    or

    Whathaveyou.

This one time, my buddy bought two packs of 500 each garden ladybugs from Home Depot. Ladybugs eat aphids.

He used a razorblade to cut a tiny slit in our other buddy's window screen late one night, and used a funnel to dump both packs of ladybugs into his apartment, and then superglued a tiny piece of screen back over the slit.

Every morning our buddy woke up covered in ladybugs (the nights were still kinda cold!). Wanna play Halo in the dark? Ladybugs LOVE Halo (or, at least, they love the light of the TV at night ...and the cat loves to try to catch the ladybugs that are swarming the TV).

It was great fun. I can imagine a multitude of similar pranks to play on unwelcome houseguests.

I wonder where you can buy bulk spiders...

Well, actually, you're right -- even though many Republicans were being fought tooth-and-nail by Democrats, the ACLU, migrant 'advocacy-groups', and a lot of American business owners who were secretly very happy to see all that low-cost labor pouring into the country.

    Everybody
is to blame for this mess, and nobody (including Trump) can fix it now. So, learn to speak Spanish. And maybe French, too... so that we can deal with all the many thousands of Haitians who are headed here now (with enthusiastic help from all the crudballs mentioned above).

What makes you think the situation is going to "get better"? As long as this 'woke' administration is nested in the White House NOTHING on the 'migration front' is going to get better! And I regret having to keep repeating this, but I just don't see Donald Trump getting 270 votes in the Electoral College as a result of this November's election. As things stand today, with some reluctance I'll have to vote for Trump, but it's a futile gesture.

Today, more Americans want 'free stuff' than there are who want a decent, intelligent government -- with common sense and integrity. So, look for Biden or some other 'woke' POS Democrat to be elected.. it doesn't really matter which one. And thus, things aren't going to "get better".... :lonely:
