Every wannabee mob boss, especially the one's that always need OPM, feel they are entitled to their taste due to their percieved privilege.

I guess it's mutual infringement. I know he was quickly told to stop using

I'm sure he can also do the same to anyone using his likeness in a fashion that benefits them...

Do they have to pay or just get permission?

Nobody is denying the general principle of image rights and copyright, but you're ignoring the details and exceptions to those rules and laws.

If Aerosmith wanted to use Trumps image to promote a concert, they would need his permission, just as he needed their permission to use their music in his political events. If someone was making a documentary about great rock music though, they would be free to use excerpts from Aerosmith's music as reasonable free use of the material due to it's direct relevance to the documentary. Similarly, a candidate campaigning in the 2024 US election (Republican or Democrat) will have an element of free use in using the name and imagery of other candidates and key figures involved in the same election where they're directly relevant to their campaign.

Candidates will routinely use their opponents names and images in their material, typically in much more negative ways than most Republicans would using Trump, but they're not going to fall foul of any kind of copyright infringement as a result.

Trump is free to ask Republican candidates for money if they use his image in their campaigns, but he'll have no legal power to demand payment or prevent them from doing so (assuming they're using it in a legitimate and reasonable manner).

    This.

Also, in the normal political world, the leading candidate of a party, or former presidents, are SUPPOSED to help down-ballot candidates, for example by doing stump speeches for them, or endorsing them, FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF THE PARTY. Of course, typical for his character, Trump is only interested in helping himself.

Joe would need to pay Democratic candidates to use his name and likeness in their campaigns. Republicans should put the party first and Trump is the Republican Party. Trump is the one who has amassed millions of voters. If Trump loses the election Republican candidates will also lose. It's just political common sense to support the leading Republican candidate.

All Trump has to do to provide a massive boost to someone's campaign is to endorse them. This is like a giant endorsing a newcomer, huge gift.

Or maybe he should just promise to give foreign interests benefits if they give him 5 million or so..... under the table. Works for your boy.

Your pablum is heavily drugged. None of that is true; it is distorted and falsified propaganda- and the mindless minions don't question that.

    Not just the mindless minions.

All Wall Street investors, rating agencies, banks and all other nations that trade with the US.

In fact, anyone who has a tangible impact on the US economy and who, unlike MAGA, lives in the real world.

    Your talking points are worthless.

What do people think of the country? What do they think of the economy? Would you like to check polling? What do the people think about the direction the country is heading? Would you like to check the polling on that too?

Again, your talking points are worthless. We know what americans think of the current state of this country and it's terrible. So no, the country isn't back to being great....far from it and most people believe that to be true whether you like it or not.

    MAGA are cynical people.

They believe that everyone is like them: the more you repeat a lie, the more people will believe it.

Elections are rigged, crime is on the rise, the economy is in trouble and so on...

Except that the country's economic situation, when you look at the real figures, is very good.

And you have no argument to deny it.

So, Biden and his team need to repeat this message to counter the Trump misinformation.

And this ^ is exactly what is being quietly overlooked by those on the right. Trump wants a "cut", but lest we all forget that the Trump family already has control of the RNC, and they have already said they will give Trump all the money. They honestly believe that they don't need any down ballot candidates. This will get interesting. My guess would be that at some point Trump will designate most of Trump Tower his "campaign headquarters" and start charging ridiculous amounts of money to his campaign for the space as a way to enrich himself again........

But the much larger issue for republicans here is, Trump isnt good at sharing, hence he is actually asking downballot candidates to donate to HIM, while normally the RNC would be giving money all around. This will be very good for democrats !!!! Good luck republicans, because we already know Donny "2Scoops" isn't good at sharing, and now he is asking them to actually give him some of THEIR money. Just another glaring spotlight to the fact that this is all about Trump, and nothing else exists on the right. If you didn't think this was a COP for Trump himself, you weren't paying attention

One of life's greatest disappointments is the number of people who can't see the crap they threw at their own fan coming back- until it hits them in the face.
The real world is what we create for tommorow by the decisions we make today. The writing's on the wall right now, all you have to do is look.

Extreme myopia- not seeing more than today, will invariably destroy tomorrow. The left is critically near-sighted, and worse... critically lacking in character values.
You can deny it, but the consequences that is building right now are coming, and it will exceed any crisis you have ever seen in your life.

One would think that Republicans winning up and down the ticket should be the goal. Afterall, Trump is the Republican candidate. But apparently he only thinks of himself. Again. This isn't like using another's music or image - this is the party doing what it can for all its candidates - for the greater good.
