I'm going off topic here but regarding Roma minorities, they are discriminated pretty much everywhere in the Balkans. Be it in Serbia, Kosovo, Albania etc. Hell, you should read what's happening in Hungary with the Roma population. I find it rather pointless arguing which country discriminates less, since they all at it, one way or another.

 

What reason does a Croat have to be partial to Serbs? Face it, both sides are were (and unless we find some way to avoid it) will continue to be equally as brutal to each other...you can either choose to admit that, or live in your fantasy land, but as more time passes more people are starting to realize what actually happened, and that it was extremely two sided.

 

Simple, look at the list of ongoing wars and look at the list of UN interventions.
Both available on wikipedia.

 

The topic was regarding Kosovo and Serbia. I was focusing on that and I did not know your opinion was based on NATO's involvement as a whole.

Wars usually never stop unless somebody intervenes and tries to stop it. Obviously, that would be the best way to do it, be it Europe,Middle East, etc...

Serb or Bosnian or whatever nationality is only a nationality. Their religious beliefs are separate.

My father was a Serb my mother was Bosnian Muslim, my mom raised me Orthodox I converted to Islam for reasons entirely unrelated. I'm a Serb, its a culture and a nationality, not a religion.

Don't preach to me. Mitrovica and the rest of Kosovo will always be Serbian, you won't get us to leave, and you won't indoctrinate us to submit to your "authority". Until the sun falls into the sea we will fight for our right to live on our land, practice our culture, contribute the the economy of the government we recognize and be our own people. This is not a religious crusade this is a human rights issue, and once it is looked at in its proper light, international law will triumph over American machine guns and American bullets. Different empires rise and fall but ethics are forever, don't forget that.

 

I'm not from Babin if that's what you mean, and I do not support what happened at Srebrenica or anything like that, but having lost a father and nearly my own life at the hands of Bosnian hired Mujahideen, I refuse to let lies that what happened in Bosnia was at all one sided. Terrible massacres happened on all sides, but I'm not a Bosnian Serb, and neither are most of the Serbian army or government, so they should not be blamed for it. I think all sides need to claim their rightful amount of responsibility, not just Serbs.

I believe all sides should to. Actually, a few days ago, Albanian ex-fighters were charged and sentenced to many years in prison. They were charged by the Judge in Republic of Kosovo! Has Serbia charged anyone in their courts yet? Also, I am looking forward for our court to charge even more, including some in our own government. I am not afraid to fight against injustice and fight against corruption. We have so many groups who participate in bringing law and order, including equality, in Kosovo. Bringing law and order will take years and years. It is not easy. People didn't get used to that because they didn't have the privilege to nor did they have any rights to even know what to do with them.

I am sorry for what happened to your father. My three cousins (all in their 20's) were told by the Serbian militia to turn around and they shot them one by one on the back, killing them on the spot. I have been a prisoner of war at a young age and have lived in Croatia WITH Bosnian refugees for four years and have understood their ordeals too.

I do not know exactly why you seem to dislike a lot of Albanians and what they stand for. Judging from our past conversations, the last time we spoke is when you asked me to admit to being something I am not. Sorry, I can't tolerate misunderstandings and pointing fingers. But I will tolerate those who fought against people like Milosevic whose main purpose was for a greater Serbia. I also can't endure Albanians, Bosnians, Croats, etc...who have killed innocent women, children, and elderly just to pile up some bodies like it's a competition.

So, you say the the Serbian government and army should NOT be blamed for it. Then, you say that all sides need to claim their rightful amount of responsibility, not just Serbs. So...which one is it? Can you elaborate on that?

 

I blame America for Kosovo and its completely justified. I don't mean fighting in the same way you do. I don't mean killing innocent women and children in the name of a land dispute. We fight with facts, and we have the truth on our side. It will be enough.

I know it wasn't only America, but papers have come out from the Clinton administration saying that he only did it for political reasons not because either side was killing each other. What I do know is that my mom died because of the bombs Clinton told NATO to drop. The US (and the UK Blair was in on it too) and the KLA are the main reasons that what happened in Kosovo happened, not the Serbian army. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either indoctrinated or incredibly ignorant.
