I wish more voters were like you, I really do. Not because you support Ron Paul, but because you understand it is about the best candidate in your mind. And it seems that you don't judge from looks, but rather intelligent thought about the person. Thank you for your answer.
So you're saying you vote based on politicial affiliation? You don't consider the person's ideals? Sad.
exactly... so there is no chance he will be elected. If people are considering Obama over this guy for re-election, he has no chance. OBL will be a one term president.
So if you think that Obama will be a one term president, than who do you think will beat him? A third party candidate? Best chance of beating him is a republican. Ron Paul is doing better in the polls than any other republican. So?
Yes, it will be a republican. Do I have to remind you that Ron Paul supporters are overzelous nuts.. They will google every poll on the internet and even start their own polls just to manipulate the true level of support he has.
Sure, believe what you wish. But this whole time you haven't even mentioned as to why you actually oppose Paul or who you support in place. What republican is better than Ron Paul? Please, enlighten me.
Paul, rekindling the actual tea party movement, should be heard, objectively. He encompassed what so many on the right are preaching, but fail to take to heart. RP got a bad rep, whether its his inability to make himself understood, or the failure of others to objectively inform themselves. So yes, he probably won't make it, even though he is the only one who would serve without being self serving, and that is saying a lot in today's political climate.
Yes, I would vote for Ron Paul. He is the best chance we have to reverese the authoritarianism and irresponsible deficit spending.
I'm glad to hear that some people understand the situation that we are in and are taking the initiative to do something with their one vote that they get. Thanks
He's a libertarian partly because of his political beliefs, which I disagree with. Things about him I don't like: - He holds stock on Austrian economic theory - He supports withdrawal from NATO and the UN - He's pro-states' rights - He opposes capital punishment - He doesn't hold stock in laicity - He wants to abolish income tax - He's a strict constructionist All black marks against him in my book. Add to that if the Democrats put any combination of the following up I will vote for them: woman, Jew, person of colour, homosexual, irreligious.
How do you plan to vote? Are you an American living overseas? So you vote based on homosexuality, race, gender, religious persuasion, not issues? Its seems we had a lot of that last time around, and here I read that people disregard Paul for his age. How sad. So in other words, if Rosie O'Donnel should run, you would vote for her instead of Paul?
I plan to go to my mailbox and mail in my vote as everyone else in Seattle does. Well yes considering I like Rosie O'Donnell. Perhaps it's a hallmark of where I was raised but I tend to be more partisan than most Americans. Except when it comes to the House of course.
Excerpt for his views on capital punishment, those are all plusses for me. So you would vote for a person based on skin color, sexual persuasion, or religion over political ideology. That kind of thinking is exactly why our country is in such bad shape today.
I think one of our biggest problems is that half the people in the government don't even believe in government. They're like Mr. Fawlty in Fawlty Towers (John Cleese) who acts like running a hotel would be great if there weren't any guests.
What is Ron Paul going to do with Social Security Insurance for all those people who were denied jobs, promotions, and retired by Affirmative action, who due to ex post facto laws being unconstitutional cannot renegotiate all of their old employment agreements with silver spooned inheritors for equitably retroactive pay, pensions, and insurance?
No he has no chance. Too Old.. He cannot connect with the kids .. He is a senator (oops. a congress man..)..NEVER BALANCED anything in life... Talks a good fight ..but when push comes to shove..a white OBAMA. Figure that one out..
>>>I don't see Ron getting a whole lot of support anywhere. Somebody's going to hit him over the head with his anti-war and anti-neoconservative viewpoints pretty soon (which, btw, correspond to my own viewpoints) and that well be the end of the good Mr. Paul.
I want a real man as president. Herman Cain. He would be the first real black president of all of the American people.
You people act like there is a difference. If there was really a difference, there would be a lot more than 2 candidates on the ballot. I have never voted for a president in my life. I have only voted against people that I did not want to be president. Frankly, I'm tired of it. My vote doesn't count for anything anyway. Neither does yours. I can't find a reason to vote. The citizens determine the popular vote, which can be completely ignored by the electoral college. It doesn't make sense to vote.
