    Here is a start..

The guy is just like any other politician..

Let's start by telling THE COMPLETE TRUTH.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Paul:
...leads the Houston-area delegation in the number of earmarks, or special funding requests, that he is seeking for his district. He is trying to nab public money for 65 projects, such as marketing wild shrimp and renovating the old movie theater in Edna that closed in 1977 — neither of which is envisioned in the Constitution as an essential government function.

Those aren't his ideas. They are requests from his constituents, just as happens in every congressional district across the land.

How was it idiotic to begin with? His movement during the Election created the TEA party movement to stop Big Government was getting any larger. Yeah his campaign was truly a failure and never got his message across... *cough*

He does want to bring our troops home. What is the point of having them all across the world? We would be safer with them home. And Ron Paul never said that he wanted to legalize any drugs. He said he would leave it to the states to decide. And he has never said he likes muslims, and if he did, why should you care? Are you racist?

So now a new urban legend is born..

Gore invented the internet..Paul founded the tea party?
    Good luck with that.

So to go over why he wont be elected.

    1. He is a libertarian..not a conservative.
    NUMBERS ..do NOT add up.

    2. He is too old..and NO REAGAN.

    3. Weak on Border fence and troops patrolling the border. THE 1st role of a president is to protect and defend.

    4. The pot question..so while he puts traditional tobacco farmers out of business in Ky and other southern states..he wants Calif. POT to be legal..great..but no thanks. Happy cows= Happy voters..

    5. National defense..tell us what systems and what troops he is willing to provide and deploy...in PLAIN ENGLISH before he is elected..tell us which bases in which states he is going to CLOSE.The voters should know before they elect this guy.

    6. EARMARKS ..or the Murtha syndrome..what's good enough for me..you cant have.

    So now ..

Does he swing the majority of the young voters away from Obama?
Maybe..but doubtful..but enough to influence an election..possible..since he wont accept NORMAL rules..its all about him.

Does he swing the Black vote away from Obama ..NO

So the middle and youth vote is up for grabs..
Do you really believe a father of 2 kids is going to vote for a guy who's main theme is legalize pot and make America weaker ?

That is how they are going to frame him..just as ROMNEY is framed by 1 issue ..not any economic savvy.
We haven't heard a PEEP about his health care solution..ROMNEY will eat him alive on this issue alone.

Maybe you want Columbo ( sp ) for president..I dont.

Actually Ron Paul has talked about health care. He wants to get government out of health care, he is a doctor you know. And again, his theme isn't to legalize pot or any drug of any kind. He wants to leave that to the states to decide. And he never said anything about closing bases in the states. He talked about closing bases in other countries. You really have a distorted view of Ron Paul, maybe you watch Fox news too much? Ron Paul is our best option right now. Ron Paul 2012!!!

This is supposed to be an example of Paul's racism:

'“if you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be,”'

    That's fact, not racism.

How many 'white' starting CB's (a position where speed is critical) are there in the NFL? Out of 64? Zip. They are all 'black'.

This despite the fact that less then 15% of Americans are 'black'.

How exactly is that comment racist? lol...

Black people are fast and everyone knows it from simply watching marathons. It's not as if he was making a generalization at all about a habit.

I might be willing to vote for Ron Paul in the next election. Policywise I tend to agree well enough with many of his positions, and it's especially enheartening to hear a libertarian like him take a strong moral stand on an issue like abortion. My concern, however, is that as the head statesman of our nation he will engage in speechmaking that equivocates too much on moral issues in general (I'm thinking in particular about his response to Chris Wallace's heroin question during the first Republican debate).

I'm certainly a strong proponent of states' rights, and on that I stand arm in arm with libertarians; but where I disagree with libertarian statesmen is their tendency to advocate individual liberty so single-mindedly that they neglect the importance of making moral pronouncements. I think it's vital to remind the people that liberty is not the same thing as license.

I think Paul does an adequate job of tempering the call for individual liberty with an appeal to moral duty, but he could do better. Having said that, I realize the perfect statesman doesn't exist in reality, which is why, unless someone better emerges, I may cast my vote for Paul in 2012.

It's pretty obvious (IMO) that people are confusing racism with non-political correct speech AND/OR they just don't like Paul and are grasping at straws.

Most Politicians NEVER dare just say what they think. They weigh every syllable until it sounds so plain and generic that it offends no one - and often says little.
Paul does not seem like that to me. He seems to just say what he thinks first and worries about kissing everyone's Politically Correct ass later.
Unfortunately, the masses have gotten so used to generic, bland politicians who never take chances or truly say what they think that anyone that does is usually thought of as extreme or too far outside.
It is sad that originality - something that is desperately needed in Washington - is SO discouraged.
