Bush protected us from the terrorists and now they are buying gas stations in our home towns doesn't any one remember 911 any more. We have to be diligent about stopping terrorism and Ron Paul wants to ignore it and bring our troops back. We have to bring the fight to the ennimey
' 1....Are you kidding me? 2: He didn't write the newsletter. 3: Which ideas? 4: You vote for him, not congress. 5: He looks like he's fit enough to live til 105. Sounds like you're a psy-opper to me.
He's the anti-thesis of statism. He is morally opposed to statism, that's his entire campaign platform. I just think it's foolish to say you wouldn't vote for someone and have absolutely no clue about what his platform and beliefs were.
Although I'll be 6 months short of voting age, I wouldn't vote for him anyway. I appreciate his honesty, but he takes his views to the extreme, in addition to having some issues with homophobia and possible racism, although the Repubs won't allow him to get the nomination anyway.
When I read many of these comments - it makes me realize just how ignorant the masses are. They see a sound bite or read some useless media guide on someone and just take it as fact without doing any research and forever judge that person on that preconceived notion. It's sad. No wonder politics is such a mess in the America/Canada/etc.. Everyone thinks they know everything when in fact most of them know little.
What difference does it make whether he is Pro Choice or not? He is strongly for removing the decision from the feds and giving it to the states. If anything, I would imagine the chances of your state being Pro Choice would be entirely up to the voters of your state if Ron Paul were POTUS. Which now, it is not.
I feel exactly the same. I get so frustrated listening to people who have never researched the man. He is the only pol telling the truth, and is vilified for it. And by nonsense tv host half truths, no less. It is not surprising, I suppose, that he can't explain how to fix the economy in a 30 second sound byte. It is a little more complicated than that. Especially after 30 years of studying it. But you can't expect these people to actually research and see what he says, because if they were in the habit of doing that, we wouldn't be in the shape we are now as a country. They want smooth tongued professional politicians to manage their lives for them, and nothing else will do. Oh well, I give up. I am tired of watching the one true patriot this country has known in a long time be called a kook, crazy, and too extreme. So ironic, when to me the people who have created this mess are the obvious kooks, crazies, and extremists.
I can't seem to make up my mind about Ron Paul, though I find myself in agreeance with more of his views vs. Obama's views. If it comes down to Obama vs. Paul, I'm voting for Paul. http://www.ontheissues.org/Ron_Paul.htm
No chance. If hell really does freeze over and Ron Paul becomes the Republican candidate, I will be writing in my vote for the first time in my life.
Probably Newt or Condi. Condi is my first choice, but she is unlikely to accept even if she won. So I would probably write in Newt.
Fair enough. Also he doesn't strike me as honest. He seems like a player who will act in his own interests.
No. We continue to spend billions on fighting them, it's unwinnable. Osama Bin Laden said his plan was to bankrupt the U.S. by having us come to the middle east and fight them. And he also said that 9/11 was because of our intervention policies. You obviously are a neo con.
.. If Ron Paul were president, we would have never gotten Usama Bin Laden.. and instead we could have been fighting against the criminalization of heroin!.. because that's the main problem with the country: not enough people are getting high.
