They should pay her bills. Have a bit of compassion. Yes, she might have been an illegal, but she'd lived in Canada for more than a decade and doesn't seem to have caused any problems.
It isn't her fault she became ill. She wants to make Canada her home, so do the right thing and help her out!

If we had a socialized health care system, you could make that argument here.

We don't though, so there's no reason that a private system should provide that care.

This argument would hold more weight in Canada if they had more of an agricultural sector, but they don't. Most illegals in Canada aren't in agriculture.
