What do you have 'faith' in/on? Is that 'faith' subjective or objective? Is that 'faith' spiritual or temporal?

Oh, Jesus Christ is very much God. And He most certainly was with God the Father in the Old Testament in all that He did. And they killed a whole lot of people. Just think about the flood.

God can and does kill people regularly. Its not murder when He does it. He is God. He gives life and He takes it when He is ready. And takes it anyway He wants to.

And, you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait till the great Tribulation. He will take many many many lifes. But again, its not murder. Those lifes are His to take.

And at the Great White Throne judgement, Jesus is going to be judging all those unbelievers for all time. And it will be His word that directs that angel to grab you by the short hairs and tosses you into the lake of fire for eterntiy. The second death. Not muder. Just judgement. All life is His to take.

We should stay on topic. The Op seemed to have created this thread to be as a safe-haven for Christians. Not to argue with atheist trolls who just want to get us mad

It truly is a beautiful piece of musical work. I only wish that kind of music was more common in Catholic churches here. Id chose to hear chanting and Latin hymns over the more modernized type of music that is more common

I am not Orthodox, but I am interested in hearing different ways people sing. Here is a hymn I think called, 'Glory of Byzantine'

    From the 'About' section

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

Ezra, thank you for your many and beautiful contributions to this thread and for putting in so much effort into getting it back on track. I saw this beautiful picture of the Blessed Sacrament on therealpresence.org:

In my line of work, it's been such a long time since I've been able to sit quietly in the presence of Jesus present in the holy Eucharist. I used to do it on a weekly basis when I wasn't driving a truck. I miss those days and the peace it gave me.

    Hey everyone,

In keeping with the vector of the OP, I want to continue to post devotional items and invite everyone else who loves Jesus like I do to do the same. Catholics and Evangelicals, we all love Jesus and endeavor to lift high His holy name. I am trying to include materials from both of our great Christian traditions. Here is a stunningly beautiful love song to Jesus by gospel singer Troy Sneed. "My Heart Says Yes."

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9QYFijLQlM"]‪Troy Sneed-My Heart Says Yes‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    Jesus I Love You
    Jesus I love You
    Oh My
And you are welcome in, your welcome in this Place
    I’m lost without you
Can’t do nothing without you oh no
and you are welcome in,your welcome in this place
    My heart says yes
My heart says yes (( to your will) to your ways)
and you are welcome in,your welcome in this place
ooohh wooo ooo oh my oh my, oooooh oooooooh

My heart heart says yes(yes to your will)
My heart says yes (Yes to your ways)
And you are welcome in your welcome in this place
My heart says yes(can’t live without you)
My heart says yes( I’m nothing without you,I’m nothing without you)
You are welcome in,Your welcome in this place
My heart says yes( lord I’m thirsty for you)
My heart says yes(Yes ,Yes, lord I need you)
and you are welcome in,your welcome in this place (you are welcome in, your welcome in this place)

    In english the lyrics are;
Hail, hope of the world, Mary, hail, meek one, hail, loving one, hail, full of grace
Hail O singular virgin, who wast chosen to not suffer flames through brambles
Hail, beautiful rose, hail, staff of Jesse:
Whose fruit loosened the chains of our weeping
Hail whose womb bore a son against the law of death
Hail, O one lacking comparison, still tearfully renewing joy for the world
Hail, lamp of virgins, through whom the heavenly light shone on these whom shadow holds.
Hail, O virgin from whom a thing of heaven wished to be born, and from whose milk feed.
Hail, gem of the lamps of heaven
Hail, sanctuary of the Holy Ghost
O, how wonderful, and how praiseworthy is this virginity!
In whom, made through the spirit, the paraclete, shone fruitfulness.
O how holy, how serene, how kind, how pleasant the virgin is believed to be!
Through whom slavery is finished, a place of heaven is opened, and liberty is returned.
O, lily of chastity, pray to thy son, who is the salvation of the humble:
Lest we through our fault, in the tearful judgment suffer punishment.
But may she, by her holy prayer, purifying from the dregs of sin, place us in a home of light
    Amen let every man say.

The chants are amazing and this one is no exception. Chants are the most ancient form of Christian worship. I haven't heard this one before, but thank you for posting it. This is a beautiful ode to our Blessed Mother and very sweet!

O Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; O Lord, cleanse
us of our sins; O Master forgive our transgressions; O
Holy One, come to us and heal our infirmities for your
    Names's sake.

    -Lord, have mercy! (Three times.)

-Glory be to the Father + and to the Son, and to the
Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever. Amen.

Lately I have been reading some Byzantine Catholic prayers and learning about Icons. I really do love Icons. So I will share some of what I have found.

    This prayer is supposed to be the oldest known Marian prayer in the Byzantine tradition;
Beneath your compassion we take refuge
    O Virgin Theotokos
Despise not our prayer in our need
    But deliver us from danger
For you alone are pure and blessed.

    [IMG]St.s Cyrill and Methodos. The Saints attributed to converting the East. In which thanks is given in this prayer I have found;

PRAYER TO STS. CYRIL AND METHODIUS O Holy Saints Cyril
and Methodius: you led our forefathers, and us with
them, from the darkness of pagan error to the light of
the true Faith of Christ, and now you rejoice with
Christ in Heaven. Sincerely, we rejoice in your glory,
with which God has rewarded your untiring zeal, and we
humbly thank Him for the great gift of Christianity
which our heavenly Father has bestowed upon us through
your efforts. Intercede with God for us who are
unworthy descendants of Adam, that he may strengthen us
in the True Faith, which you preached to our
    forefathers. Amen.

    Take care and God Bless

I'm glad if someone praises Jesus regardless of what race they think he was. Though those who put too much emphasis on his race I think miss the point.

Despite being totally irreligious, I am very happy to praise the man (as he is represented,) who was Jesus of Nazareth. We would all benefit enormously from adopting his values and principles. Sadly, few of us (including many who loudly proclaim their Christianity,) do. How many of us follow these directives?

Therefore when thou dost an alms-deed, sound not a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honoured by men. Amen I say to you, they have received their reward.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven. And he that shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me.

For the poor you have always with you: and whensoever you will, you may do them good:

And to him that striketh thee on the one cheek, offer also the other. And him that taketh away from thee thy cloak, forbid not to take thy coat also.

Judge not: and you shall not be judged. Condemn not: and you shall not be condemned. Forgive: and you shall be forgiven.

And why seest thou the mote in thy brother's eye: but the beam that is in thy own eye thou considerest not?..

And who can forget the admonition: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone ..."?

Whatever else he was, Jesus of Nazareth was a good man.

I do admire your positivity in the OP - I'll admit that I'm not generally as positive as you are.

The REASON it "doesn't seem like this thread is being taken seriously" is because religion is becoming a running joke - as people learn more about religion, and more about science, we can see that your "talking snakes", "talking donkey", talking burning bush, and your talking invisible magic 2000 year old dead zombie from Nazareth are ridiculous - it's simply Santa for grown-ups who are afraid to face their eventual inevitable deaths.

The geneologies from Adam to Jesus are an appalling 4000 years! What more do you need to know - if it thinks the world is now 6000 years old then it's as truthful as Lord Of The Rings is! Stop believing that a patently obvious fairy tale is actually real - don't fear death so much that you take a s*** on science.

    Have a great evening.

Signed - former believer in said fairy tale.

Are you talking about the same man who talked about what an amazingly strange thing it was for a samaritan to be good?

What he was saying was that samaritans were complete and utter pricks, and that a single samaritan being good was a great curiosity.

    That's racist as all crap.
