Can we all agree that Bachman, Paul are effectively out of it?

So...in 8-9 months....when what i have predicted turns out to be correct...will you then say that I have common sense?
    Ron Paul - Zero chance
    Bachman - Zero chance
Romney - Baring some scandal from Perry - Zero chance. eh. I'll give Romney 8%.

Funny you should ask that. The very notion that a correct conclusion can verify a faulty argument is, itself, a logical fallacy. So I think you just answered your own question. :)

4 years ago at this time, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee were leading and McCain had "zero chance", so if it's all the same to you... I think I'll just wait and see.

You don't seem to know much about odds making.

The only Americans that have 'zero chance' at winning are either dead, in a coma or possibly in jail.

If you want more credibility, I suggest you be more accurate in your predictions.

Again...we have got to stop making everyone take intro to philosophy courses.
Yes, lets wait and see. The ONLY possible reason why the Republican party would allow their candidate to be Paul, Bachman or Palin would be if they are throwing it...again.

I sincerely hope that Paul gets the nomination. He's really the only candidate that is at least honest with his opinions and is not hiding himself nor pulling punches. His ideas, even if I do not agree with all of them, are honest and he's not a stooge for corporations nor does he play the American people for stooges.

Perry?! Good Lord, he's like Bush on a combination of Crack and Steroids!

It's the opposite. Perry or Romney would be "throwing it". I absolutely love how much widespread respect people give Paul, such as pragueman above. It seems like Ron Paul can get a lot of votes on people who don't necessarily agree with him on a lot, just out of pure integrity.

Agreed, I've never voted in my life. I always thought of it as being a game by twins just wearing different colored masks.
It pains me to see soundbites of the politicians and the constant dumbing down of ideas. Whether that be, Obama's change or mantras of drill here, drill now.

Ron Paul is the only person that I think really has any respect for intelligent Americans. He will actually sit down and talk in length about global problems and how to solve them because he has the belief that the American intelligence is strong enough to understand them and listen.

There isn't a single politician currently running that feels that way. Keep them happy, keep them stupid and run business as usual.

If Paul ran I would vote for him. It might be a huge, massive problem, but at least it would be something new and for the first time probably since Eisenhower, someone would shine a light into our collective country closet and start cleaning all the (*)(*)(*)(*) and grime in there.

I'm not ruling him out. I'll keep supporting and defending him. But, if it becomes painfully obvious that he has no chance towards the end, I going with whoever has the best shot of defeating Obama.

I don't think America is ready for Perry. There's a perception right or wrong that his religious views will come into play with his decisions made as President if elected. People who aren't of his religious persuasion will not likely support him due to perception problems.

Furthermore he has baggage; the Texas succession from the United States that he touted comes to mind; this will haunt him throughout this election.

Texas created more 1/2 of the jobs in the country. Texas created more 1/2 of the jobs in the country. Texas created more 1/2 of the jobs in the country. Texas created more 1/2 of the jobs in the country. Texas created more 1/2 of the jobs in the country.
As I've said before, that will be the entire campaign. And as I've said before. Americans are too stupid to look past the simply statistic to see what type of jobs were "created".

Then do something about it, instead of b!tching about it.

    • What type of jobs were "created"? Don't just spout a proctological guess; show some stats.
    • What industries are fastest growing in Texas? What industries moved from CA, for instance?
    • Any job in a newly opened plant or office building will be bottom rung. To point at that and complain is disengenuous. What is the growth potential of those jobs?
What good is b!tching about people being ignorant and then doing nothing to remedy their ignorance?

The candidates all have baggage, and the aforementioned ones of Perry are not game breakers. Can you say, President Perry?:)

Go wash yer mouth. Paul is still standing, and looking at how the GOP establishment fails to deliver, yet again, I wouldn't count him out just yet.
Hopefully, even the tea partiers will figure out that it is Paul who came up with all the ideas they think is theirs, and that the Rep echo chambers like Perry, Romney and Bachman are nothing but leeching of what he started.
If that is not possible, I guess we don't deserve any better, and the tea parties might as well pack it in.

#1. I don't really care if Perry wins, or loses. The country is going to continue down the wrong path either way.
#2. However, if Perry is in charge while that occurs, then at least people will be more likely to start blaming the correct ideology.
#3. People are not capable of logical reasoning at this point. It is a waste of time to try to "educate" them.

Our "democracy" seems to based on a few opinion polls months out being splashed all over the media and then everyone voting for whoever won the polls because they're "electable" and you gotta vote for the winner.

So when do we declare this a failed system?

Bump...how right you are. Sadly, its why the GOP presented America with the McCain/Palin ticket.

If you honestly believe a fire-breathing, super-religious, folksy governor from Texas is going to appeal to the Northeast, Midwest, and the Western states, you're nuts.

in the republican party because he shows signs of sanity.

It's too bad Palin, Bachman & Paul are out. A great majority of the repubs like them, but Palin & Bachman are just good-looking airheads & Paul is from another planet. Paul is so dead he needs a hall pass from his undertaker to go on the road. Palin can go on the road but she can't seem to STAY on the road. Batty Bachman spends so much time listening to the voices coming from her rice krispies that her campaign bus is an off-road vehicle. I would have had fun with any of them.

Romney has good hair, but spends too much time grovelling before the tea party wowsers. Perry is CONSISTENTLY insane, at least so far.

    Time will tell.
