So we always hear how the lib is so intelligent, nuanced, compassionate, etc. Well, you can bet if they need to say that, the person they refer to is as dumb as a bag or rocks. In a long line of these so-called intelligent libs, comes Barack Obama. A person of superior intellect, a captivating speaker... "Some" evidence: "Were the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad" "Abraham-Come -Lately Lincoln was the founder of the Republican Party" "I've now been in 57 states I think one left to go." "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It's the Post Office that's always having problems." "The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system." "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances." "What I was suggesting -- you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith "It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." "The Cambridge police acted stupidly." "One such translator was an American of Haitian descent, representative of the extraordinary work that our men and women in uniform do all around the world -- Navy Corpse-Man Christian Brossard." "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
Obama never wrote any articles for law review at Harvard, even though he was President of the law review. That is simply not how it is done. Every member of a law review is REQUIRED to submit at least one article for publication. When Obama was in private practice, his firm kept him out of court. What that tells me is he lacks the skills it takes to be a courtroom lawyer.
A quotes topic, but why? I'm sure some of these quotes are meant to be taken tongue-in-cheek. : 57 states. Oh well Obama isn't the best person to quote anyway since he isn't Emily Dickinson.
Sorry, you are wrong. Your false comment is typical of what is discovered to be untrue about the Right's standard made-up smears about Obama. First of all, the Harvard Law Review publishes papers from recognized legal experts, such as professors at various universities, NOT law students. No student could get a full paper accepted in the first place. However, students can get little essays called "case comments" reviewing court decisions published in the Review, which are often not attributed publicly. One month before he became editor, Obama did get a "case comments" published on a court decision over whether a fetus could sue its mother for negligence. The court had concluded "no" and the comments explained the court's reasoning. Experts say it was well written.
Obama is fortunate enough that the official Republican opposition are a bunch of tea party loons, otherwise he would have blown his re-election chances. Obama has to be the biggest disappointment of my entire adult political life.
Why do people see Obama as intelligen? Is it just because his ideas tend to be the opposite of what America so long has stood for? At least that's my idea. Here in Sweden, right-wing libertarians and conservatives tend to be the most intelligent ones, while the socialists (who have ruled the country for the last 100 years) are uneducated, stupid and can't answer any questions. What do you think of my theory? Oh, and I would expect people to mention Ron Paul as intelligen, even though he hasn't been elected yet.
I started this thread because I'm sick and tired of hearing liberals state how intelligent Obama is, and what a great speaker he is. Clearly, the man is as dumb as dirt, and he can't speak for sheet without a teleprompter. Not exactly Mensa material eh?
Obama without TOTUS. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omHUsRTYFAU"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omHUsRTYFAU[/ame] Sounds like he's on drugs.
Th most intelligent president the USA had was Slick Willie. Mr. Clinton was the best of the best. He took the USA from 12 years of republican trickle down unemployment economy to the greatest nation in the world, with the lowest unemployment rate in history, the most revenue in history, and even the banks and corporations were happy. The US Dollar was at it's highest point in history, investment markets were flooded with so much forigen investors, and people could afford homes at low prices. He, Bill Clinton, was the greatest president the USA ever had, better than all the Kennedys put togeather. Bill also presided over two conflicts, Somolia was a failure, but the Cosovo was a success and there was no massive spending on wars. Other countries around the world wanted Former Presient Clinton to be their leader, that's how much the world liked the USA. But after 8 years of a Dick in a Bush, America went down hill, spent all it's money on defense contracting, the US Dollar fell to it's lowes point in history, unemployment started to rise, American were earning less that eveer, the government started printing massive amounts of money to cover their loss and spending, and the housing prices started to increase to 2x the amout in 5 years. Un-employment in the construction industry declined from 2005, Corporations and investment banks started capitalizing off the government and taxpayer, and oil prices shot up to over $4.00 a gallon. Food prices also increased, and the other countries of the world started hateing the USA for being arrogant and causing 2 wars for no apparent reason. BBooosh started borrowing more and more money to keep the governemnt alive and spent more and more on Dick's military industrial complex. Then came the total failure of 2008 when the banks and insurance agencies took all the money and ran, and Boosh and Pulson at the treasury paid off their bank buddies $780 billion to ease their decline. So that is why Clinton is the greatest president of the USA, and Boosh is the worst. But Obama has yet to complete his tour of duty. We'll see in 2012 if he can beat Boosh for the worst president.
Obama is a brilliant man. The Republicans are stupid. That's why only 6% of scientists are Republicans.
True: simple peole have simple solutions for simple problems. Inteligent people have intelligent sollutions for complex problems. Simple solutions do not work on complex problems.
