Obama and His EPA are out of control. The law means nothing to them

    http://dailycaller.com/2011/09/26/epa-regulations-would-require-230000-new-employees-21-billion/

The Environmental Protection Agency has said new greenhouse gas regulations, as proposed, may be “absurd” in application and “impossible to administer” by its self-imposed 2016 deadline. But the agency is still asking for taxpayers to shoulder the burden of up to 230,000 new bureaucrats — at a cost of $21 billion — to attempt to implement the rules.

The EPA aims to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through the Clean Air Act, even though the law doesn’t give the EPA explicit power to do so. The agency’s authority to move forward is being challenged in court by petitioners who argue that such a decision should be left for Congress to make.

So they are going to help put companies out of business by using the businesses tax money.

great Idea. You have to love the stupidity of this administration.

How many jobs will it cost? The government jobs mean little if it means companies have to layoff people and close plants.

They either comply with the clean air act or get shut down. Simple as that.

The problem is Obama and the EPA may be doing this illegally. So you have no problem with this closing more Business and more people losing their jobs?

The court battle is just beginning

So this will increase government expense and will cost us jobs, cost retirement accounts because of stock losses and will drive up the cost of energy, which will drive up the cost of nearly everything and lower the standard of living of everyone, especially the poor and middle class.

    Sounds like a great plan.

China considering green tax as extent of pollution is revealed

China is considering implementing green taxes after a comprehensive new government survey revealed the extent of air and water pollution in the country.

(Growing the economy and creating jobs will require better environmental practices... not lesser.)

Badmutha... what is worse is that when Montoya was asked where his entitlement checks came from... he did not know. He does not realize that he is taking directly out of the pockets of his fellow Americans. Now that we educated him, I don't think he cares.

These regulations would cripple industry, destroy real jobs that produce something, and destroy our ability to balance the budget or pay off the national debt.

Without the creation of wealth and economic prosperity, clean air is just a pipe dream. Government can either hinder economic growth and subsequent increase in prosperity, or it can get more and more in the way of producers until it collapses under the weight of the unsustainable welfare state, and then your children and grandchildren will have to suffer the sort of pollution that China suffers under in order to return to economic prosperity in some distant future.

Tooth fairy economics isn't going to save us from pollution and, anyway, who do you think is the biggest polluter in this country anyway? I'll give you a hint, it starts with a "g" and ends with "overnment."
