Yes. They have resisted every attempt to foster a recovery in the economy. More over they aren't even attempting to make meaningful alternatives available. They have simply become the party of "no" and are playing obstructionist politics at every turn. The GOP's only initiative is to attempt to block anything proposed, even policies they have supported in the past, simply on the grounds of opposing democrats. It's driving this country into the ground and they don't seem to give a (*)(*)(*)(*).
With my liber hat on: In their own simple minds they do not sabotag the USA. But their actions speak louder than their rants. And thier intelligence to fufill the capacity of the office they seek is very low. All of them have continued to fail in their parties and states, they all do things that are kept hush hush by the money they pay the broadcast media, and they all will do a bang up job baning up the USA. For example, their track records in congress are an example of their action, not what they say. The only way to evaluate these people is to look at what they have done, and what they have done for me and you. Problem with the simple minded, is they are too lazy to look into these peoples backgrounds, find their assoicates, and check their actions of the past. The simple minds would rather take it on faith and just simply listen to what they say and believe their propaganda. That is why the USA is where it is today. And being as simple minded as most Americans are, they deserve to be screwed over by the politicians they vote for. Now to answer your question in conservative terms: NO. I should have written this in 5 word sentances and double spaced for the conservative viewer. But then again, they will take the easy way out, and be dictated to by a politician on the news.
