I think most everyone is aware that politcal boards tend to lean conservative/libertarian - just as talk radio does. As a Libertarian, I can assure you I have no voice in policy making, or in how our society functions. Hence, I turn to alternative outlets to express my points of view - it is the same with most Libertarians. I assume you're a liberal... can't for the life of me figure out why you would feel put upon - this is your society. Your views are the mainstream; your views dominate the culture; your views dominate governance; your views dominate the television - 21st century America is your baby. Seems pretty weak that you would pout, and say you're going to take your ball and go home. Don't you have courage of your convictions enough to defend them?? I'll respectfully debate you all day long - if your arguments can't stand up to scrutiny and debate, then shouldn't it be incumbent upon you to consider that your views might be flawed?? Or is it easier to simply walk away knowing full well your side controls everything and you'll get your way regardless of whether the path is defensible or correct?? Try living in a society in which you are in the smallest of minorities - it'll toughen you. Being in the majority is easy and lazy. You never have to challenge your own views or belief system. For Libertarians?? watching our unthinking fellow citizens bankrupt our country and destroy our freedom is an amazing thing to watch. I guess I would have to agree that it is indefensible, so why try??
hmmm i had to choose other because im simply all over the place, but the last thing i know i would ever be is a spineless liberal. my views... -hate illegal immigrants and im for very harsh penalties for them as well as we need to change the "anchor baby" loophole and make to where a child can only become a legal citizen of this country if only atleast 1 parent is a citizen or here legally somehow. -for lawful citizens to carry guns, but we need some more restrictions -for abortion in most circumstances -for gay marriage, what they do in the bed room is none of my business -i believe hate crime legislation of full of (*)(*)(*)(*), color or sexual orientation does not make someones murder more important than anothers. -i believe gangsters should be shot on sight -all for marijuana being legal, but not the harsher drugs -public schools should only be for american citizens -i believe welfare should have a time limit, you have at most 3 months to find a steady job and after that you are on your own -all jobs and promotions should be given on merit, skin color,gender or sexual orientation should have nothing to do with it. basically saying if 20 white men got the promotion then oh well, same goes if 20 black men got the promotion or job,as long as its on merit then oh well -i believe in a straight "fair tax" across the boards, everyone pays the same amount of tax. oh and you shouldnt get rewarded for donations and stuff, you are supposed to give donations with the only reward of knowing that you helped, not an incentive to skip out on taxes or recieve extra money on tax returns lol -politicians should no longer be able to use tax dollars for anything personal, they get a paycheck and if they want something they have to buy it like the rest of us. they have their own cars and dont need to be supplied one.wanna take a personal vacation then buy your own plane ticket and pay your fares just like the rest of us. they are not kings and queens, they are public servants, they serve us and not the other way around. i got alot more but im tired of mentioning them lol.
An awful lot of people, everywhere, believe what they are told, and in the US it is off any normal human scale, as the super-rich who own the media want not only to dominate the whole society but not to pay a penny towards doing so. If normal people give up on 'em, the peasantry will end up accepting slavery, so don't do it.
Well, I have taken many tests online to determine my political leanings, in all cases they come out CENTRIST. I have views that range from the far right to the far left and every place in between. I may even have some views not included with other party views at all. Your poll can never be accurate without listing all of the dozens of possible affiliations, lol and then there will be people that do not fit in any. Some people have no political views at all.
I voted "other", but, I guess by definition of the poll, I would be a "communist" or "socialist". Basically, I'm just a normal person who want's the US to have what every other first world industrialized nation(aka Western Europe) has. Bro
