It's being reported worldwide that the tarnished reputation of the US of AIPAC military has received another layer of scum. Thank you, American morons. All the work done to restore respect for American values has come to nothing. Clutch your peckers in wonderment.

In actual fact there is no evidence they were trying to kill anyone. The dead seem to be kids wheeling a wheelbarrow. Nothing in it. Possibly farmers or peasants in the field.

The action of the US military is not surprising. It's what we expect from them. The US shouldn't be surprised at all that this is why there are extremists. That act alone would have recruited many extremists out to take revenge.

If someone urinated on your dead father or brother I'm sure no American would just let it go.

You are an out of control country that needs to be stopped.

Killing university professors and standing up on TV boasting about it. Gingrich the Catholic crusader who has found the Eucharist as he said proud to be saying he was for 'taking out scientists'.
Another of your immoral and illegal actions
    Out of control savages!
    Just what we expect!

This hasn't done a (*)(*)(*)(*) thing to change anyone's opinion of the US and its soldiers. The people that hate the US will still hate the US even if you have a video of Marines performing the most gracious acts of kindness.

This whole thing is just a p iss poor excuse of a scandal. (*)(*)(*)(*) poor.

This can't represent American forces, where there is an army, such thing will happen.

Well, it does represent American forces. Add it to other recent atrocities- Abu Ghraib, Haditha, murders, rapes and body parts as trophies- and urinating on the dead sums up the character of the troops and the failings of those who trained them.

It's sad that something like this happened. Sometimes when a person is so angry, he does some stupid acts. This is one of them.

    Show us some evidence .

Mine had talks with their enemies after rice and vegetables and some dancing girls. But then my ancestors were always civil. Aren't you bothered about being descended from vicious morons ?

To paraphrase what a friend of mine said at another forum:

"Soldiers are hired killers, and people are getting upset over urine?"

There's some hypocrisy on both sides when it comes to war.

The right puts soldiers on a pedestal and tries to glorify things that really shouldn't be glorified.

The left tries to moralize under circumstances where people are killing each other.

Overall, this is a tempest in a teacup. No one's going to remember this a year from now, and PR doesn't matter a whole lot when you're handing over a hellhole to a group of murderous radicals.

In the meantime, we'll get plenty of holier than thou B.S. about treatment of dead enemies, so that people can feel special while never actually having to deal with the realities of war.

That's what the 24-hour news cycle has brought us.

As far as I'm concerned -- that was a joke of a post indeed, Serfin'USA...

Soldiers aren't mercenaries, and you know it...

This isn't about "urine" -- it's about soldiers taking a crapper on dead bodies.

I hope the US military sentence them to 20 years...

    ...

That's the entire point that a lot of Americans seem unable to grasp...

Killing their perceived enemies, as it seems, isn't enough for Americans.

Instead they need to take a crapper on their dead bodies on top!

    Flounder,...

Let me first take a moment to wish you the best for this year, and I hope your back problems have dissappeared...

To address your post -- well, it is the prime example of somebody who's lost his moral compass. As you are a Catholic, I think you better seek some guidance in mass...

On an other level -- if you truely believed in the goodness of your country and the values it was build on, and forwhich it build her military to defend those in the first place, you simply can't defend the idea of soldiers taking a crapper on the bodies of their enemies/victims.

To all those Amereicans who see little to criticize about this behavior: have you forgotten Fallujah? After some American contractors were killed and their bodies desecrated the Americans basically levelled Fallujah in response, not becaue the guys were killed but because of the video showing the desecration. What's fit for the goose.....

Like I said, war is hell.

By the way, we actually did prosecute some people over that one.

Yet when something happens in the world, who is the first one to get the call? O right the United States.

Nobody 'calls'. America just goes. Wherever it wants-usually without an invitation, as if a visitation from Holy America is something everyone just can't wait for.

What's next.. no longer allowed to pee in the Forrest because some plant lover gets offended?

Seriously. We have people KILLING each other and the thing we are up in arms about is that someone got peed on? Are we going to start exterminating all the bugs on the planet also for eating away the tissue of dead bodies. War against decomposition!!! Getting peed on while dead is the least offensive thing that happens to a human corpse. Especially after being blown up, burnt, ripped to shreds or stabbed several times. Something is wrong with people when they start paying more attention to what happens after a person becomes a corpse rather than what is killing them.

    ...

    ...

I'm not "feigning" anything. What an outrageous suggestion on your part, Serfin'USA!

It's against the Convention of Gèneve -- Foolardi or Herkdriver (I always mix those two up!) posted a segment in this thread earlier on in which the US Military stipulates a penalty up to 20 years.

Well, if your outrage is sincere, then I hope you're equally outraged by some of the actions of the Taliban.
