The vast majority of Americans don't share your hatred and find your petulant intransigence alien to their world view. Americans are by and large centrist and moderate. They don't buy the (*)(*)(*)(*) you're peddling.

 

Any Republican who compromises with Democrats dies a political death. There will be no compromise.

It was the CBO that projected an accumulated national deficit of $44 trillion by the end of the decade not me. You can't fight the forces and processes of history. They're like the law of gravity.

America is like Bourbon France in 1780, Qing Dynasty China in 1900, and Soviet Russia in 1980. You can't tax, borrow, beg or print enough money to get out of this hole. What's coming is inexorable.

The Bush tax cuts end for both the middle class and the wealthy. That will reduce the standard of living for the middle class.

I am obviously an Obama supporter and think that he has done an intelligent and courageous job as potus so far and I will vote for him, not against someone else.
I also get involved in volunteering time to help spread information and help people get to a voting station on the day. I don't take anything for granted, knowing the hysterical hate that the right is capable of, so I want to make sure that as many people as possible get to vote because that's how it really will be decided.
This article is one excellent summary of the perspective that the voters need to have to make the right decision in November.
Ironically, the cons have such a weak, unappealing set of contenders, all at each other's throats, that many people will vote for Obama as the only intelligent alternative or pitch a fit and not vote if their favorite extremist fails to get nominated.

 

Over 9% unemployment for the longest sustained time in the history of this country since the great depression. 16+% underemployment (stimulus jobs), $4+ trillion dollars in new debt in less than 3 years, home foreclosures continuing unabated by any Obama plan, gasoline hovering around $4 and food prices hitting the stratosphere.

That's the platform Obama and the Democrats have to run on?
