I noticed in the interview, she never actually quoted Newt asking for an open marriage, but simply said something about sharing him without any context. Both Gingrich and his daughters deny the claim.

I guess his daughters know a little about his ex. There just ain't no way this happened. It's too bizarre.

Sounds like she totally misunderstood what he was saying, likely being upset. Or she's still very pissed. Either way, it never happened.

So really, we've leaned nothing new here. Gingrich cheated 20 years ago. He admits his sins. Old news.

This may affect the outcome of the race, but I have a feeling it won't. It really depends on what Gingrich says in the next few days.

That seems like a weird thing for her to claim to know.

I do. They absolutely did not. My mom would have killed my dad had he asked that. I knew my parents very well.

The daughters are good witnesses because they knew this woman for many years. she must have insinuated this in the past, and they wanted to respond.

But again, notice the words she quoted in the interview. She never quoted him saying I want an open marriage. That's pretty much ends this.

 

However you view this, you have to admit Gingrich is no glass-jaw candidate. To get a standing o on the day of the accusation is pretty impressive.

All the candidates are going to have to take punches like this and then counter. No question Newt showed can can take it. (at least so far)

I don't think the white house has ever seen a driven intellect like Newt's before. I think he's a rare gem. But it's going to take a very brave and mature country to look passed in past flaws and see the good man that's emerged. I hope they do. Just listening to his accusers makes him look better and better. Frankly I've never seen such inept attempts and insults.
