‘Beholden to AIPAC’ — progressive senators Warren, Murphy, Brown sign letter seeking to limit Obama’s actions

The news that many progressive US senators as well as vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine signed on to an Israel lobby letter designed to limit President Obama’s actions against the Israeli occupation, now nearly 50 years old, has been widely reported, but the plain facts need to be stated.

Yesterday the Israel lobby group AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, flexed its muscle against President Obama and on the side of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu by posting a letter signed by 88 senators warning President Obama not to back any international measures that would pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories.

We urge you to… make it clear that you will veto any one sided UNSC [UN Security Council] resolution that may be offered in the coming months.

Pay attention, folks. We can no longer have dual citizens nor Israel's money running our government. Together, we can end this madness. Post this all over your social media and email it to everyone you love.

Isn't it about time that we really do put America first? And does anyone really believe having these foreigners with foreign interests running our country can be a good thing?

Seems there are a lot of people who have massive reading comprehension problems. The text in your link has propagated thru the usual sources (without any change),

OTOH, I prefer to go to the originating source, in this case the letter itself. At the rate some jew haters appear to suck up the batcrap, I have to assume they like the taste.

Yeah, getting foreigners out of our political system is a good thing.

AIPAC supports the two-state solution, which of course would require Israel to withdraw from most of the West Bank.

    Two states for two people.
AIPAC strongly supports a two-state solution and works tirelessly to bring peace to the region. A two-state solution – a Jewish state of Israel living in peace with a demilitarized Palestinian state – with an end to all claims is the clear path to resolving this generations-old conflict.

i would LOVE to see Israel unilaterally disengage to the Seperation Barrier, but its kinda silly to expect them to do that without some security plan with the Palestinians, and the Palestinians have already said they will not accept any interim or half-deals.

Crazy times are these where foreigners bribe our politicians and tell our President what to do.

perhaps the Palestinians could be convinced to negotiate an interim deal with a partial Israeli pull back

which foreigners would that be? Not that foreigners have any political interests in America. Nahhhhh, America should be the one with political interests everywhere else.

Once they show the world they can stick to their word, negotiations can take place. The problem is that Palestine is run by Hamas. Until that problem is corrected, Hamas will keep breaking cease fires and digging tunnels under Israel to try and kill jews.
