This is pure comedy gold. I claimed the other day that I could not teach physics on this forum. Perhaps I can. cjnewson88's claim is so ridiculous that I will deconstruct these scenarios and prove Newton's law of motion with these scenarios if five of you truth debunkers will agree to honest discussion after I prove the ridiculousness of cjnewson88 claims. All I need is five of you to agree. If five of you agree to honest debate afterwords, then I will spend the time to teach some physics as described by Sir Isaac Newton.

no they do not rely on government or their (cough) "experts"

    - - - Updated - - -

    of course you dont.

    - - - Updated - - -

frankly its a waste of time, they go to the next thread and post the same troll trash over again

Judy "Woo-Woo" Wood and her idiot buddy Hutchinson are schizo and you buy their BS.

True. I do not understand why some little child thinks that heat-damaged steel and paint are relevant to any argument about some unknown principle that will disassociate molecular bonds. Name the force, and if you say "Hutchinson effect," you have shown your ignorance.

how can you get an honest debate with people who do not know what honesty is?

fuel fire does not do that. hutchinson? wtf you talking about?

judy wood would run you around in circles.

    didnt say molecular bonds.

the real problem was spelled out in the OP, shoe fits wear it.

Psychologist Laurie Manwell of the University of Guelph agrees that the CIA-designed “conspiracy theory” label impedes cognitive function. She points out, in an article published in American Behavioral Scientist (2010), that anti-conspiracy people are unable to think clearly about such apparent state crimes against democracy as 9/11 due to their inability to process information that conflicts with pre-existing belief.

In the same issue of ABS, University of Buffalo professor Steven Hoffman adds that anti-conspiracy people are typically prey to strong “confirmation bias” – that is, they seek out information that confirms their pre-existing beliefs, while using irrational mechanisms (such as the “conspiracy theory” label) to avoid conflicting information.

The extreme irrationality of those who attack “conspiracy theories” has been ably exposed by Communications professors Ginna Husting and Martin Orr of Boise State University. In a 2007 peer-reviewed article entitled “Dangerous Machinery: ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ as a Transpersonal Strategy of Exclusion,” they wrote:
“If I call you a conspiracy theorist, it matters little whether you have actually claimed that a conspiracy exists or whether you have simply raised an issue that I would rather avoid… By labeling you, I strategically exclude you from the sphere where public speech, debate, and conflict occur.”

First explain why a larger body, like say a man's,gets petetrated by a smaller body like a bullet.....by YOUR understanding of newton, the man's body would push back with the same force, causing the bullet to bounce off.

And I have NO doubt that you even know what 'honest debate' is...

Funny how 'truthers' would rather play silly games than simply presenting evidence.

well then lets just assume the bullet stopped in the body, then you are correct up to the point where your physics goes wacko and you think it would bounce off. LOL

the bullets energy was transferred to the body.

its clear however that you have no clue what so ever why the bullet would penetrate rather than bounce off.

However if it were rubber it would bounce off.

tell us why, using lonestar physics.

    carry on

    no, that's fantasy...not physics.

THIS is what happens when one floor of a building is removed....causing many floors to come crashing down.

bodies most often stop a bullet absorbing its energy.

seems the wtc lower floors can push back just fine

It depends on how fast they're moving now, doesn't it.

And what's the causal difference between 1) a bullet bouncing off a body, 2) penetrating but stopping in a body, or 3) passing right through a body?

    Hint: p = mv

You can't resist that flaccid red herring now, can you? Okay then. we'll play it your way.

Explain exactly why you imagine steel would have made a difference in the WTC towers. Please include your calculation for the force of the falling upper section of the tower (we'll just consider the North Tower for now) as it struck the first floor immediately underneath the point of structural failure (i.e. the 95th floor). Be sure to account for the stiffness of the towers and their horizontal floor supports.

Unless you can make a case for a different set of variables, use the following generally agreed upon values: the mass of the top 14 floors was 58x10[SUP]6[/SUP] kg, the stiffness of the remaining steel support structure underneath was 71x10[SUP]9[/SUP] nt/m, and the drop height was 3.8 meters.

Please give your solution for F[SUB]dynamic[/SUB] in newtons.

    Show your work.

Extra credit for calculating the associated G forces experienced by the falling upper towers when they impacted the 95th, 94th and 93rd floors respectively. (Hint: This is easiest to do using conservation of momentum).

Don't change the question. I did not specify "bodies." I explicitly specified flesh.

Bones most often stop a bullet absorbing its energy. Flesh does not. There is a reason one does and the other doesn't. I would ask you to try and explain the difference, but I don't want to overwhelm you with physics problems and there is already one sitting in your in-basket. It's time for you to demonstrate your alleged command of Newtonian Physics. Please see my immediately prior post and provide us with your answer.

I understand Newton's third law of motion. It explains why the bullet stops and when it stops. I misread this post last night. Newton's third law describes, as cjnewson88 claimed, why the bullet stops when the sum of all the opposing forces reaches the initial force.

"causing many floors to come crashing down" at a much slower rate. This is a controlled demolition. It is very similar to the claims made by NIST in that the WTC top stories are crushing the lower stories except for the speed of the collapse.

In order to be a successful demolition then the demolition technicians would have weakened key core columns in the lower floors to guarantee the top floors crush the lower floors. This video is significant because one can observe the building crashing down while pulverizing the lower portions which takes time. The top floors of this building never come close to free fall acceleration.
