“Don’t allow US, NATO to influence Arab world” : Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Iran's top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has urged Arab nations, where uprising is taking place, not to be influenced by the US or Nato in case of choosing post-revolution political systems in their respective countries.

"Don't trust America ever. Even not Nato, or other criminal allies like Britain, France and Italy. They divided and plundered your lands for long time in the past," Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said while delivering speech in an international Islamic conference in Tehran on Saturday.

Khamenei warned Arab countries to remain alert against the US, Nato or their allies so that they cannot dominate the future governments of Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and other nations.

"Don't believe them seeing their smiles. Behind those smiles and lofty promises, there is nothing but conspiracies against Muslim world," the Iranian leader said.

He urged leaders of Arab countries to determine their countries' ruling system themselves, keeping consistency with Islamic values and principles, and by keeping themselves away from secularism and western ideology.

    seems fair enough to me

and likewise, lets hope they keep their religious and eastern ways out of the west

we - america included - should get out of the middle east, sod the oil - and the west should be the completely irreligious secular humanist side of the planet...
    ....take note also loony christians.

wouldnt that be great. and one day islam will catch up with christianity, throught internal social and cultural pressures,to rid their religion of its medievalism and then its connections to the state.

    wouldnt that all be great

I can't see us using the pope as an example when he is about to be arrested and dragged through the ICC.

Islam has to rid itself of the lunatics that proclaim to be Muslims starting with that specimen in my avatar.

It would be great if the west spent all their military budget on research into green renewable energies and the like, shrugged off our dependence on oil, lower our demand on fossil fuels, learn to live in a much more efficient less wasteful peaceful land, of more equality, more social freedom, jobs that benefit the economy, stronger dependence on manufacturing and exports, stronger self sufficiency in regards to food, grow enough to feed our own country, sell excess to Europe or Africa and low taxes on export business as long as they remain based in the homeland. A model of an efficient green, liberal non capitalist or at least non corporate run society.

    Hopeless dream I guess.

That would mean Americans having to use their legs to walk places and thats never going to happen:mrgreen:

I had one in my car who wanted me to mount the pavement outside a restaurant instead of the parking area to save them walking 20 metres

    HE WALKED!!!

it means America has to start pumping the vast oil reserves it has, and find new sources of energy. Both of which should have been done a good 30 years ago.

But I agree, do not interfere with the Arab World, also do not allow their immigrant in, give them aid, just trade with them.

It makes me feel sick to see that picture but I keep it there as a reminder of what not to be in this life. I am sure he is also a cocaine user because when you watch him he is constantly twitching around. I think this is a side effect of cocaine or other drugs.
That music guy Ozzy Osborne is the same. But Osborne is worse. more affected. There was a documentary I watched about it.

you said catch up with Christianity and I was saying they are no example to follow since their leader was the pope till they fragmented into thousands of pieces with specimens like our dear pastor here Rev Anarchist as an example. :omg:

Even the Copts here are calling for Sharia against their own churches teachings and rules.

Just need to get rid of nature hippies which stand in front of progress and some innovation ( and considering the benefits many companies like Exxon, Shell and BP to name just a few are already involved and have some decent experiments in Canada and Saudi Arabia)

What decent experiments in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Arabia isn't using tons and tons of water to capture a gallon of poor quality tar sands crude.

Now I'm looking for the connection between anti-Islamic racism and environmental vandalism. I have a feeling it's in the military-industrial complex somewhere.

Saudi Arabia is good for another 100 years.. They are currently uncapping wells drilled in the 1960s.

Syria isn't a big producer... and their production is declining for lack of investment..

But Israeli plans to be extracting 12 million barrels a day from their tar sands.

That's "tar sand" keeping great energy in itself for the future, when easy oil ended.

Read the link... Its heavy, sour and viscus .. will hardly flow thru a pipeline.

Israel's plan is to bury heaters in the earth for 2 or three years.
