“We will not sit idly by as students suffer in silence”

The folks at MRCTV have created a splendid piece of satire aimed squarely at the “safe space” crowd currently occupying American college campuses.

    From their website: http://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/mrc-launches-save-snowflakes-campaign

MRC Launches ‘Save the Snowflakes’ Campaign

Given the devastating emotional and psychological consequences of Donald Trump’s election victory on sensitive, liberal college students – a.k.a., snowflakes – the Media Research Center has launched a special project, “Save The Snowflakes.”

In a Dec. 14 statement about the project, MRC President Brent Bozell said, “I cannot think of a more important time in our nation’s history to launch Save the Snowflakes. With inconsolable college students around the country coming to grips with the election results, the MRC hears their cries loud and clear.”

“Last month it was Trump,” said Bozell. “This month it’s Christmas. Then Easter, Halloween, the Emmys — the list is endless.”

“We will not sit idly by as students suffer in silence,” he said. “We stand in solidarity with their tortured souls because no one deserves to suffer through unspeakable tragedy without pony rides and bubbles.”

    The video is priceless:

Here’s an excerpt from the official “Save the Snowflakes” website:

What happens when America’s political system shifts to the Right? America’s precious young snowflakes lose their minds, and folks, this is no laughing matter!

Our nation’s snowflakes are being cared for by colleges and universities across the country. These schools – no, HEROES – are financially supporting cry-ins, hot chocolate, bubbles, kittens, puppies and ponies, crayons, and Play-Doh to comfort these wounded snowflakes. Some schools even canceled exams and classes to ensure that America’s youth are treated with extra care and understanding during these difficult times.

But clearly, it’s not enough. State budgets cannot be expected to bear this burden alone. It’s going to take a far more sustainable funding source to ensure special snowflakes have the emotional support they need. In response, we here at the Media Research Center have launched the Save the Snowflakes project to respond to this emergency and bring crucial attention to this devastating human crisis.

    Outstanding.

My irony reaches no limits to the parents of 'Snowflakes'. They are the creators of Snowflakes and will soon reap what they have sown. In truth, Snowflakes have no sense of humor. They take themselves very seriously. Mocking them is the perfect response. I wonder how long it takes before the Social Media Police start to label and filter this effort? I wonder what would happen if someone posts this video or any other written piece/post from the website on Facebook, for example. Well, I guess I'll soon find out.. I find the parody about self absorbed, self centered, spoiled and whiny Snowflakes exceptionally hilarious.

I did notice that one of the universities I graduated from, recently purchased and trained a couple therapy dogs for stressed out students... they now make the rounds all day in the hallways, and stop at seating areas between classes, to give students a chance to stop and pet the dogs for a few minutes before moving on to other places around campus... yes, they also hired professional staff to care for the animals, as well as set aside money for the dogs eventual retirement and future care needs... normally I would shake my head, this one made me take a deep long sigh, and then shake my head... this is why I stopped donating to that university, there are so many insane examples like this, when they continue to raise salaries of staff well above inflation, and continue to seek increases for tuition... thankfully the governor put a stop and froze tuition, but that didn't stop the university, they then filed to seek increases in all those fee's they charge students, to counter the tuition freeze... I better stop before I rant...

Well, you know this year has been very stressful on "Snowflakes". It's almost like PSDT. Perhaps we should give them the same treatment this government has treated our veterans. (sarc.) Imagine these poor children stressed by all of us "Deplorables". My sainted dad would have treated my stresses with a swift kick to my backside. That's if I were ever even considered a "Snowflake". But alas and alack today that would be called child abuse. Sparing the rod does truly spoil the child.

When I watched that video I cried. I had no idea just how horrible the suffering was.
Why can't we kick all those miserable whining Facebook puppies and kittens out of thier cages and fill them with snowflakes instead?

For the price of a pumpkin spice latte I can help a snowflake buy crayons. A+

And let's not forget all the poor benighted businesses, our own special snowflakes that all conservatives believe we must save from foreign competition.

Is a mere 35% tariff induced increase in every price we pay enough? I say no, an additional 'stress factor' of 15% should be tacked onto everything and this can be put into the special fund for prostitutes and cocaine we will be sending to every domestic business owner (as well as the heroic Republican Congresscritters, who are protecting us all from having to deal with the ravening hordes of the Godless LGBTQ as they make their way across our country leaving defunct Christian bakeries in their wake). The Donald Trump Hookers and Blow fund, making our country great again.
