The team behind the popular "Game of Thrones" will write and produce new films that are separate from the main Star Wars saga and the trilogy being developed. Lucasfilm announced plans Tuesday for a new series of "Star Wars" films made by the team behind "Game of Thrones," as it seeks to build on the lucrative sci-fi franchise. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of the smash-hit, Emmy Award-winning television series, will write and produce new films that are separate from the main Skywalker saga and the trilogy being developed by Rian Johnson, writer-director of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/game-thrones-creators-make-new-star-wars-films/
Awesome, Star Wars movies are now about as good as Marvel movies (which are fine but aren't great). The problem with the new series is that it lacks major originality and often treads in the footsteps of the originals. These Game of Thrones writers aren't the reason the series is great its because of J.R.R. Martin. The last season where they didn't use a book was inferior to the previous and while it had major dramatic events, they were far more predictable and mostly treat in the footstreps of the past.
I'm a fan of most of the original Star Wars. Though, I'm struggling with the recent addition. I think I'm having a difficult time accepting the women as the last Jedi. It just doesn't feel right to me. Plus she cries a lot. That's a bit aggravating. hahahahaha Totally agree on the last season of GOT. Some highlights and some......not so much.
