    You'd probably be surprised by how many are they just don't get the press. Take the Rotarian, restaurant manager in Missouri who was known for supporting youth clubs and providing food for firemen at all hours when fighting fires. Not as dramatic as climbing a building to save a kid yet many lives touched by him. Nabbed by ICES.

    A social club devoted to global community service. Just last year a club from Texas provided hundreds of family life straws for water treatment here.

    There was also this one too:
    Lassana Bathily, a Malian immigrant and Muslim, also was granted French citizenship in 2015 after an act of heroism. Bathily helped several customers hide in a freezer in the basement of a Jewish supermarket after a terrorist gunman opened fire inside the Paris shop in 2014.
