Good advice, in theory. We all have racial biases... only liberals deny theirs.

In my experience, more conservatives are in denial about their racial biases than liberals are. Liberals at least admit bias exists; conservatives like to pretend it doesn't. But both groups have their share of hypocrisy.

Me, I don't deny my biases. But I don't embrace them, either. They are like any other character flaw I'm working to get better at.

Try actually reaching out to black voters and doing things that help them instead of constantly ******** on them and wondering why they don't like you, dumbass.

Yeah, I still remember how appalled I was the first time Barack Obama allowed himself to be referred to by skin color when we'd spent the last 40 years learning to look beyond race. Guess FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT was just too good a marketing gimmick for the DNC to turn down.

That's how these things work. People made a big deal about the first black NFL player too. The real progress happens when it's not new anymore.

Do they vote for the GOP in order to vote for what you call the “status quo” (the liberal side of these issues) or would they want them to be repealed and put back the way they are?

You really think they are going to stay on board with people like you trying to drag the party to the left in order to appeal to minorities (who won’t vote Republican anyway)? You’re dreaming. All you are doing is alienating the only group that actually does vote Republican. If the GOP doesn’t represent them, who do they represent?

Blacks and whites want two very different things in this country, overall. The voting speaks for itself.

Didn’t you make a few threads about a month ago when non-whites won elections around the country? You seemed to care about groups and race back then. What changed, Ron?

The Democratic Party wanted NO PART of a black president again, running a pure white slate instead in the primary.

While the white man was asleep some juice felt free to dance all over him. As he slowly awakens they will revert back to a defensive position. It's all part of the tricks. The usual tricks.

And why is that a problem? Why is it only when whites create systems for themselves that this is called oppression?

Which is a pure utopian fantasy. You wouldn’t be advocating for the removal of systems put in place by minorities that discriminate against whites, you simply want to harm the status of whites for your own political benefit. You already benefitted from these systems you now denounce in your old age in order to atone for your privileged life, and you pass on the consequences to people who never really benefitted from it at all.

Whites created Western civilization and I can’t think of another civilization I’d rather live in. It’s not my fault whites (and Asians) are more adapted to this system and do better than others. The solution isn’t to tear this system down so others can compete better. You’re still harming one group to help another. You would just rather harm your own group, because your ideology was founded in anti-white Christian origins. Other groups are alien to this kind of culture and civilization, and your policies make the West more friendly towards them by making it more like the civilizations and cultures back in their failed countries. I don’t want a Mexican dominated US, and that’s where we are heading because of people like you.

Which is great for you. How easy it must be to not have to worry about your own policy consequences. They can be somebody else’s problem according to humanitarian progressives.

You complain about income inequality and the lack of marketable skills when you approve of endless immigration of people with no skills from impoverished countries. Does not compute.

vast majority of my posts and threads are not about Identity Politics.

Not so for some of our Conservatives, who seem to think race/ethnicity is EVERYTHING.

We had a majority white country for the majority of this country’s history, and the Founders were pretty explicit about keeping it that way. Look into the naturalization acts from 1790 all the way into the middle of the 20th century. We strongly had a preference for white Europeans. It is only within the last 50-60 years that this was fundamentally changed, and the American people never got to vote on whether they wanted to have a white minority in this country.

Trump won by appealing more to white voters than the average Republican. That’s why some blue states flipped in 2016 after decades of being blue.

Like I said in the OP, you may not like identity politics, but this situation of everyone else playing them except whites is a losing strategy if you don’t want the kind of country the left wants.

They want to be the only ones to utilize the power of the group over the power of the individual, and it’s sad to see how many “individualists” take their bait.

It’s like a gang of thieves trying to break into your house with guns. Do you confront them with a knife because you are ideologically opposed to guns, or do you do what you need to do in the situation? (Speaking figuratively of course)

I just think it’s kind of hypocritical for someone like you, who engages in and supports identity politics, to denounce it here.

“Doing things that help them” would require harming members of my own group, so why would I do that?

The sad fact is that the Republicans actually do have many policies that would help blacks, but because they are perceived to be the white peoples party, blacks don’t vote for them. That’s just the reality of the situation.
