“Kathleen Campbell, 31, was at her polling place, Atlanta's High Museum of Art, around 8:10 a.m. ET. It took more than 2 hours to work her way to the front of the line. Waits were even longer at the main polling station for Cobb County in Marietta, with some voters had been on line for more than five hours.”

“One Cobb County voter, Everlean Rutherford, tweeted she'd successfully voted at 7:43 p.m. — after 9 hours and 39 minutes on line.“

“Race is one of the strongest predictors of how long a person waits in line to vote.“

“Residents of entirely-black neighborhoods waited 29 percent longer to vote and were 74 percent more likely to spend more than 30 minutes voting. Similarly, nonwhite voters are seven times more likely than white voters to wait in line for more than an hour to vote. The reason is because election officials send more resources to white polling precincts.“

    Just coincidental?

Sure makes the Roberts Court decision in “Shelby v Holder” appear silly

    That is absolutely disgusting.

    A nine hour wait?
    A five hour wait?

I am sure some will pop in and exclaim it is her patriotic duty to stand in line all while defending people that pay virtually nothing in taxes and mail in their ballots.

We apparently need a new VRA, I guess pre 1965 is there era they want is to return to.

Jesus, drive up, see line, drive away and try again another time/day.

Only those with an exceptionally busy next 3 weeks should stick it out on that particular day.

Those that weren't committed should show some respect as well and head home to try another day as well.

Any direct complaints about staffing or lines should be directed to the county officials.

My early voting starts Monday, this is a good reminder to go Tuesday or Wednesday after the initial rush.

Democrats should be made to wait longer so they can get used to the bread lines Biden/Harris will be bringing.

Not everyone has a car. Many people are on shift work and can't choose when they will have time to go to the polls. Lots of people work two jobs.

Your response actually confirms that this is an obstacle to voting. Maybe not an insurmountable obstacle for most people, but still an obstacle.

It should never take 3 hours to vote. Or one. Let alone nine. It should be as easy as possible to vote.

another one who thinks dividing the country (trump's message) is better than uniting it (Biden's message).

Yes of course. Also On day one longer lines aren't a surprise and would be expected to diminish over time.

Perhaps the local election officials did a great job, perhaps they fell short on planning, I'm sure locals have a better idea where the failure was. We do a great job locally but it wasn't always that way.
It's good to see turnout either way.

Sleepy Joe would not know about uniting the country anymore than he knows what is he running for, or against whom.

So, your thought is that Biden's goal of destroying everyone's prospects is a "uniting" event?

Would you wait for 9 hours in line to vote? Would I?

    No. Why do they?

I don't think I understand the complaint of the OP. If folks were willing to wait, isn't that a testimony to their resilience? To their determination to express their vote? Does everything have to be immediate satisfaction for democrats? Oh, and for the record, are we sure these folks who voted didn't vote for Trump? Democrats just don't seem to have that kind of stamina...

Biden says "voters don't deserve to know" when it comes to what he's going to do as president. That's not someone who deserves the position as far as I'm concerned

The OP accuses Trump of conspiring with Postmaster General to remove mailboxes in predominantly low income areas to subject minorities to wait in long lines, and thus disenfranchise them. This much is clear!

It’s a pretty good case for universal voting by mail, at least as an option.

    Then don’t vote for him.

But he also says he wouldn’t be president only if blue states. In contrast to the current PINO, he would be president of all states, of all Americans.

Hmm.. well, I waited in line yesterday. My wait wasn't because of discrimination, but old as dirt election folks who couldn't understand the application that did the voter verification process. Im not complaining. The folks in the room waiting all had government issued IDs, and they were all citizens registered to vote. A win for sure.

Why again? Is it just cause some folks are so lazy, or afraid to venture out of the basement that we must induce the potential for that kind of future fraud to be allowed just so you can "feelz" like you're safe or otherwise to lazy to do it in person?

How about this, if you can't be bothered to commit the effort, why extend you an alternative?

So you would be ok with a 9 hour wait on Election Day with no alternative?

You do realize Biden insults and attacks anyone who questions him, right? How does that make him presidential?

They're both crap. The problem is the American people who keep putting up the same type of politicians amd holding them to seperate standards.

I believe we have early voting in every state. As the OP example demonstrated. And folks had the stamina to wait. Do you expect that is too onerous? Used to be folks had to walk or ride to a polling place and those trips could have taken days. And yet, people still voted. Why are you so worried about removing the pride in participation part? I waited, why can't you?

Totally agree. It's the "you can't know what's in the bill, until it's passed" and then you'll know approach. This is the "cause I said so" approach. And let's be honest, there are just a lot of folks who just want to be told what to do. Liberal educators produce them by the bushels every year. Mindless drones doing to least amount just so they aren't "bothered"
