When did Obama take advantage of his position of power to increase the rate of an exclusive club he owned? Or fire an investigator for investigating him? Or make a political spectacle of pardoning famous people simply for political gain? Or.... man... I could fill pages with the stuff Trump has done.

Anyway, you want to change the conversation, but don't deny that Trump has abused power. To end the Obama theme I can tell you that if he did abuse power, jail him! Republicans have both houses of Congress, the Presidency and the Supreme Court. Go for it, cowboy! Demand it from your legislators.

Buzz off if they refuse! It's your party, not mine.

What presidential power has President Trump been "abusing"?

Well it sure does not take anything to set you off. You have moved from fretting over a sex film maker to back to defending Obama again.

Under the guise that Canada, Mexico, and the EU pose a national security risk, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on steel and a 10% tariff on aluminum.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said it was insulting that the U.S. implemented steel and aluminum tariffs against Canada on the basis of national security. He pledged to impose retaliatory tariffs against the U.S., adding "I have made it very clear to the President that it is not something we relish doing, but it is something that we absolutely will do," Trudeau said. "Canadians, we're polite, we're reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around."

Trump's top trade adviser, Peter Navarro, laid into Trudeau on "Fox News Sunday" for daring to implement retaliatory tariffs on the U.S.

"There's a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door," Navarro said.

"That was one of the worst political miscalculations of a Canadian leader in modern Canadian history," he added.

Trump's chief economic adviser Larry Kudlow on Sunday accused Trudeau of undermining the US and its allies with comments he made at the G7 summit.

"It was a betrayal," Kudlow said on CNN's "State of the Union."

"He really kind of stabbed us in the back," Kudlow said, referring to the fact that Trudeau made his comments after Trump had left. Kudlow failed to mention that Trump arrived late for the summit, arrived late for meetings, then left early, not wanting to face the anger of the G-7 leaders minus one (Trump). His excuse was the summit in Singapore for which he had conveniently chosen the June 12 date. Trump arrived in Singapore three days early. Kudlow's logic is flawed. Trump left early. It is quite common for Trump and his advisors and press secretaries to blame others for Trump's mistakes.

Kudlow's memory is also flawed. Kudlow said the US had spent the summit negotiating in "good faith" with Trudeau and the other assembled leaders, and that the US had planned to sign the communique until Trudeau's news conference, which Kudlow called a "sophomoric play." Kudlow seems to have forgotten that Trump started the trade war. "Good faith" negotiations do not involve pointing a gun to the head of the other participants.

We have no idea what Trump intended to do. We do know that he ordered the U.S. representatives not to sign the joint communique, essentially making it a G-6 conference with the U.S. on the outside looking in, increasing the yawning chasm between our President and the other leaders of the free world.

Both Kudlow and Navarro made a point of stating they were speaking for the President.

One other factor was made clear by Trump's advisors. As he prepares to sit down with a communist dictator who has threatened the U.S., killed his uncle and brother, and has imprisoned hundreds of thousands of dissidents -- a man Trump described as "very open and I think very honorable" -- the Trump administration states "there's a special place in hell" for the leader of Canada.

    Putin is pleased.

“PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, ‘US Tariffs were kind of insulting’ and he ‘will not be pushed around,’” Trump tweeted. “Very dishonest & weak.”

Robert, I'd like to see you defend him just once. Besides, your petty excuse has been used a hundred times by other Trumpians.

I have recognized that "axis of evil" for 50 years. In any case, I'm glad you're glad.

"Talks could work?' Yes, and the Minnesota Twins could win the World Series. The latter is far more likely, however.

We don't lose anything? Well, this is our President speaking. These are direct quotes.

    “It’s a getting-to-know-you meeting.”

“I think it’ll be a process. … But the relationships are building, and that’s a positive thing.”

"We’re not going to go in and sign something on June 12.

I’d like to accomplish more than that
[a photo op],” Trump said. But if not, “at least we’ll have met each other, we’ll have seen each other; hopefully, we’ll have liked each other. We’ll start that process. . . . But I think it will take a little bit of time.”

“So it’s a one-time shot and I think it is going to work out very well.” Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is a one-shot deal? What a moron.

I think we Americans lose a great deal.

That is the work of mid-level diplomats, but the world is a stage and Trump is the star, and he doesn't want to share the stage. Have you noticed? No one talks about this summit except Trump. SecDef is totally silent. Trump's NSA has been silent. Theoretically Trump is heading for an important summit with another head of state and his SecState hasn't said a thing in two weeks or more. Only Trump does the talking. There is something off.

This will be nothing more than a photo op, and that is embarrassing. Trump is handing Kim an important diplomatic victory and he is too stupid to know it.

If it's nothing more than a photo op, I'll be the first to disapprove, I'd like concrete steps towards peace that assure that NK understands that it can't use its nukes as leverage against its neighbors, nor can it threaten the US with it. This isn't a game, this is about averting WW3 and doing everything we can to accomplish that.

What you pull reminds me of a person calling your wife a terrible name then telling you to defend her. It is garbage I tell you.

I meant, of course, besides incoherent wisecracks. Wisecracks and using ignorance is not defending Trump.

So you are on the record as being against the idiotic trillion dollar third hunts that Cheney/Bush started with a bunch of lies back in 2002. Or scumbag Lyndon Johnson who lied us into escalating the Vietnam war into a 10 year fiasco which cost us 58,000 of our brave soldiers on behalf of his buddies at Brown and Root. I hate War profiteering scum worst of all. Trump, to his credit has not started any wars as of yet. Good for him and good for Obama who ended or at least deescalated those two turd hunts.

You saw Saddam Hussein on TV giving Lotto looking checks to the families of suicide bombers and thought, hey there only killing Jews, what's the problem. Nothing to do with 9/11.

Please, when you wash Obama's back, let's not forget his wars in Syria and the worse one in Libya.

Bush passed to us what Tenet passed to him. Tenet was hired by Bill Clinton.

Trump blamed Bush and Cheney not only for lying us into war, but for sitting with their heads up their asses when we got hit on 9/11. I sent a $500 check to Trump's campaign after he lit up Jeb Bush in the first debate of the primaries. Jeb was bragging about how safe his brother kept us and Trump laughed and said, tell that to the 3000 people killed in New York.

The 9-11 conspiracy began and some of the hijackers entered the U.S. while President Clinton was still in office.
