I just heard about this film and it seems to be very relevant right about now so I will view it in its entirety and I suggest others do the same.

Trump is a symptom of what is very wrong with the direction this nation is going in. Greed worship is reigning supreme.

This thread is a good example of tribal nepotism in action.

Here's a quote from Lippman's "The Phantom Public"

"The necessity for an undivided mass makes men put truth in second place."

    WOW! That's a bombshell!!!

    Chomsky is a semi anarchist/liberalist.

He would love to institute pure socialism if it didn't take the government to do it.

Speaking of Lippmann, here's something on his work and that of Edward Bernays

He's worth reading as a cautionary guide...but not to be taken too seriously.

It's good to be introspective but too much navel gazing isn't useful.

Anyone should be taken seriously when they tell the truth. Chomsky, like everyone else has flaws, but his basic analytical skills are sound. More people should make a serious attempt to hear what he has to say.

Trump is a symptom, Obama was a symptom, Bush II was a symptom, Clinton was a symptom, Bush I was a symptom, Reagan was a symptom.

Chomsky is no more or less relevant now than he was decades ago.

If this can never move beyond partisanship, it can never move anywhere.

Oh yeh, Chomsky. This one sure won’t have any political agenda.
