    Australia does not keep statistics on rape. Our stats are for a broader category “sexual assault”

    No surprise. It makes total sense that you would try to turn the fact that Trump must maintain communications with foreign leaders into something dirty.... we expect that from you.

    Of course I do. So- why don't we just go around making enemies of all Islamic nations? Piss everybody off, so that no rational communications are possible?
    Do you think anything would change for the better if we did that?

    One of the reasons we have so many problems in America- and with other countries- is the confrontational, adversarial and arrogant attitude we have developed.

    In Japan, when another driver needs to merge lanes- someone allows it, and their standard of courtesy has the beneficiary blinking his flashers a couple times as a mobile "thank you" message for the courtesy.
    In America, that driver has to force his way in, the guy who felt that was cheating gets out at the next stoplight with a club, and expresses his attitude with road rage- or at least flips you off.

    That's why Japan has 7 lawyers per 100,000 people, and we have 287. We can't figure out how to do anything without getting pissed off over everything, even when it won't make any difference.
