I think a Nazi is a race based (white or "Aryan" race) Fascist. Trump is only arguably a Fascist, since it is unclear as to whether his nationalism (he has said he is a generic nationalist himself, )rises to the level of being Fascist, that is, to a level where it is expected to subsume the individuality of the populace, but it is also unclear how generic nationalism as practiced today can do anything else and he has indicated clearly he is an admirer of Mussolini, Fascism's founder and main proponent, so I think saying he is a Fascist is not unwarranted. He is very definitely a racist if you go by his past record and statements; and his further remarks after the Charlottesville atrocity show at least a sympathy, if not outright belief in, white nationalism (white nationalism is emphatically NOT generic nationalism as I have used the term here so far but rather the idea that the US is a hearth of the white race) So yeh, Trump is a White Nationalist Fascist, and thus meets all the criteria I know of for being a Nazi.

I've never been to the Holocaust Museum. It seems a fascinating place but I stopped studying Nazis years ago. I base my definition of what a Nazi is on several books The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, by William Shirer, Alan Bullock's Hitler, A Study in Tyranny, the fascinating Psychopathic God by Robert G.I. Waite and the ravings of the madman himself Mein Kampf among others

To answer your question, yes they did once oppose blacklisting of their communist members, but since they are liberals, they simply cannot resist the urge to be complete and total hypocrites...

 

Funny thing is, the Republicans blacklisted those whom they accused of being members of the communist (even though the claim was unproven) while it was Wall Street Republicans who financed the Bolsheviks.

Any political system can work well if each individual were not corrupting it with their ignorant, selfish or fearful actions.

I've started boycotting businesses that use all non-whites in their commercials.

All they have to do is repudiate trump and they can keep their businesses? Wow! Stalin would love you. Not a big Trump fan but that's not the point is it? It is fascism in every way.

I have a growing list of businesses I won't support, but that's not what the OP story is about. They were talking about boycotting and doing "whatever" it took to run them out of business. That's a little bit different.

 

Boycotting, generally, imo, is silly.
