Oh I see you still fail to comprehend.

The bill would have to include the funding for the full 10 years, and not just one year, otherwise we would need another bill, wouldn't we?

I know liberals don't study economics or math but ffs learn something.

SECURITY FIRST, then DACA. Can't trust them for a second. History books and all.

GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham rips into White House for Trump's change on immigration deal

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/19/lin...se-for-trumps-change-on-immigration-deal.html

Sen. Lindsey Graham saw a distinct change in President Donald Trump's views on immigration legislation last week — and he pinned it on one White House aide in particular on Friday.

On Jan. 9, Trump told lawmakers to seek a bipartisan solution on immigration and signaled that he would sign whatever they put in front of him. Two days later, he flatly rejected a plan brought to him by Graham, Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and others, helping to set back talks on avoiding a government shutdown that will happen at midnight if Congress cannot reach a deal.

Graham, who said he will not support a temporary funding bill passed by the House when the Senate takes it up Friday, sees Trump policy advisor Stephen Miller as part of the problem.

"The Stephen Miller approach to immigration has no viability. Tuesday, the president was in a good place. He was the president of all of us," Graham told MSNBC on Friday. "He spoke compassionately about immigration, tough on security, wanted bipartisanship. Two days later, there was a major change."

"I think the change comes about from people like Mr. Miller. Mr. Miller is well known in the Senate for having views that are outside the mainstream," he added.

And yet, the facts flatly contradict your claim.

Trump talked out of both sides of his mouth and tried to take all sides on the DACA issue, a crisis he created in the first place.

That's not what the way a "Guy with balls" behaves.

Obama created the issue. the bills offered weren't good enough. dems decided to blackmail a funding proposal with amnesty. now, they have to fully explain those actions.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the facts. This is disappointing, but not at all surprising. Drumpf created the issue by ending DACA, exacerbated by congressional Repubs failure to renew the CHIP program because they spent their time and energy passing the tax cut for the wealthy. This is what Don said last week...............................
“I’ll sign whatever immigration bill you me. You guys are going to have to come up with a solution [for Dreamers] and I’m going to sign that solution. I think my positions are going to be what the people in this room come up with. If they come to me with things I’m not in love with, I’m going to do it. Because I respect them.”
Then his position changed. Mitch McConnell went to the floor of the Senate to say he was waiting for President Shithole to make his position clear so they could write a bill he would sign.

Obama illegally started daca. this all starts there. dems shut down the gov over illegal alien amnesty. there is no spin that changes that.

He didn't have the power to change law. daca never changed the legal status of any immigrant. selectively enforcing law based upon an overreach of power does not create a basis upon rule of law.

Absolutely correct.........and completely immaterial to the discussion of President Shithole's flip flopping position on a permanent solution for people with DACA status favored by the vast majority of Americans.

you missed the point that the legislature is required to make law. regardless of your affection for mob rule, the president can't change law.

I'm sure you approve of the use of that latitude when it serves your agenda and disapprove when it doesn't. me, I'd rather have the legislative representatives determine the definition of law.

So instead of everyone getting what they wanted nobody did. Way to go Dems. With luck the DACA folks will remember your intransigence in November.

I didn't forget anything. That meeting was ;ittle more than an attempt by the Neocons and dems to get a surrender on DACA. They didn't get it. And should have known going in that they weren't Trump had already laid out the only deal they were going to get and they didn't want it.
