It's Christmas, lot's of folks are practicing decoruming their houses.

    ...wait.… nevermind.

    :D

Seriously, I think they should hold less press conferences and release letters or articles to the press and on the internet. Only have a conference when Congress declares war. The press already knows what is going on because of the whistleblowers and leakers. The White House is just giving them a chance to publicly embarrass them with worthless rhetoric.

And the President. What do we do with him? Today he lied to the American people again.

Sources within the White House have said that they have won the support of the government of Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador— who takes office on Dec. 1 — for a plan mandating that asylum-seekers at the border remain in Mexico as their claims move through the U.S. immigration system.

If that sounds ridiculous, that is because it is.

Mexico’s incoming political leadership is denying a published report that it has agreed to a Trump administration proposal requiring asylum-seekers arriving at the southwest border to wait in Mexico as U.S. authorities consider their claims for safe haven.

    https://www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-na-pol-mexico-caravan-border-20181124-story.html

As President, Trump is an unparralleled loser. Who did he think he was going to fool?

When the President is responsible for a charade such as this, reporters need to speak up or they are not doing their jobs.

Of course I'm a Trump supporter. I've made that very clear and my reasons why.

I would've rather had Walker, Rubio, Cruz, or Bush. In 2020 I would rather have one of them or Kasich or Romney but if Trump runs for reelection and wins the nomination then idiot or not I'm voting for him. If for nothing else because I like his court nominees.

Once again, it is NOT the job of a free press to challenge the president. To paraphrase the FoxNews line

It should be "they report, we decide".

Why is it not the job of the press to challenge the President when he lies?

Challenging the president (or for that matter deciding if he is lying or not) is the function of the political opposition.

The press is supposed to REPORT. REPORT!!!. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Why is that so difficult to understand?

That explains everything. That's true of most Trump supporters. They support an idiot and they know it.

Does that make any sense? Hell, no.

I believe I am saying the same thing, and I watch Fox everyday. By "we" Fox is referring to itself and other news organizations. They decide if what Trump is saying is truth and reality, and, if it isn't, the media will respond accordingly.

Currently, Fox is reporting on Trump's fanciful dream to leave the migrants in Mexico while they await asylum.

Mexico's incoming government denied reports Saturday that it had struck a deal with the White House to keep asylum-seekers in the country while their claims move through U.S. immigration courts, just hours after President Trump again threatened to close the entire southern border if no deal could be reached between the two counties.

That is simply false. I can provide a website that will show at least 3,500 lies made by Trump.

Please provide a similar website regarding Obama.

No, the media is supposed to report the truth, not Trump's many lies.

Kook blogs don't count but this one screwed everybody and helped few.

How much did that lie cost the taxpayers? Show me a verified lie from Trump that cost us $1.34 trillion.

No one is talking about blogs. I was referring to respected websites such as the Post, Times, CNN, and Politico.

It turns out that’s when the president decided to turn on the spigots of false and misleading claims. As of day 558, he’s made 4,229 Trumpian claims — an increase of 978 in just two months.

That’s an overall average of nearly 7.6 claims a day.

    .
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ng-claims-in-558-days/?utm_term=.b25f844b4f5c

That was as of Aug. 1, 2018.

So all of Obama's lies relate to health insurance. The ACA did not turn out the way he intended because of opponents in Congress. In the two years after he left office, Trump has made buying health insurance even more of a challenge and far more costly.

Trump's lies concern a myriad of topics from Mexico paying for our wall to claiming the Democrats favor open borders. Now provide a list of Obama lies that don't involve health care. Or were all of his so-called lies only about the ACA?

When you claim,"Obama lied all the time and it never bothered you," and all you show are his statements regarding health insurance, do you realize how pathetic that is?

But rules shouldn't apply to progressives or liberals. Rules are for everybody else. He needn't call on anyone, so this "decisive blow"
    the OP claims is BS.

Were I to question you in the same fashion as Acosta does to Trump, I am quite certain I would be banned from the forum.

Why do you suppose when he explains who the enemy of him and the public are, he only names several of the reporters and not all of them?

That $1.34 trillion over a decade is providing a benefit to Americans. It is providing health care. Trump's lies provide no benefit, and as for a cost analysis of his 4,229 lies I haven't a clue, but that is beside the point.

Now provide the lies Obama is supposed to have told. You are having trouble with that, aren't you?

I said the media should report the truth. You are disagreeing with me?

Wow, Trump really has you screwed up. I find that to be true of many of his supporters.

It is not the job of the media to decide who among political leaders are telling the truth and who is not. Challenging the honesty of political leaders is the job of the political opposition.

I said that back when Sam Donaldson was saying it was his job to challenge politicians and pin them down.

We can all now conclude that Abe Lincoln was a man fond of telling whoppers.

They come at no cost to the taxpayers, Obama's however come with a $1.34 trillion price tag.
