“You are all unbelievers, I’ll kill you” – Two Islamist knife attacks in France

On Sunday night in Nice, France, a Muslim assailant attacked a police patrol with a knife whilst his phone loudly played Koran’s verses. He was quickly subdued and arrested.
At 1:50 am, a 29 year old man was discovered by Nice’s municipal police sneaking into the town hall and filming local’s and police’s vehicles. His phone was also playing muslim verses loudly.
When the police confronted him, he spat on them before insulting them “You are all unbelievers, I’ll kill you”. The Islamist then pulled a knife from behind his back but was quickly restrained by the police. Apparently he wasn’t known by the anti terrorism police.
This attack comes after Sunday’s attack in a supermarket in Seyne-sur-Mer, where fortunately nobody was killed. A woman crying “Allahu akbar” injured two people there with a box-cutter.
Nice’s reputation as a jihadi hot-bed seems to be confirmed. This is where Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a Tunisian Islamist drove a truck into a crowd who came to watch Bastille Day’s fireworks, killing 84 people and injuring more than 200 more.

A man described as a devout Christian who volunteered at a local church was charged this week with killing his wife and two young daughters after their bodies were found in a home in western Canada.

Canadian authorities found the bodies Tuesday in Kelowna, British Columbia, and identified the victims as 33-year-old Clara Forman and her daughters, Yesenia, 8, and Karina, 7.

They charged Jacob Forman, 34, with the murders.

He showed no emotion during a brief appearance in court Thursday, Global News reported.

Forman was a plumber, a devout Christian and had a leadership role at his small church, the news outlet reported.

“They were just very nice people,” a woman who knew the family, Gail Baran, told Global News. “You would never ever think that from that family, they were very down to earth people. He would go to work every day and appeared to be such a gentleman. It’s a shock for all of us here.”

Facebook videos show baby Karina learning about the joys of birthday cake, while another depicts her dad proudly boasting of his daughter's ability to roll over in bed, CTV Vancouver reported.

"This is my six-week-old prodigy," he says in the video.

Forman’s wife was a fitness instructor who was born in Mexico.

She met him in Mexico at a Christian retreat when he went there to become a preacher, according to local media reports.

She wrote on Facebook that she met him 12 years ago, the Columbia Valley Pioneer reported.

“Met in January, started dating in July, engaged Oct. 27 married three weeks later on Nov. 11 at sunset,” she wrote in 2015. “When I married Jacob Forman I left everything I knew to come to Canada and build a life.”

“God blessed our feeble efforts with good jobs, good friends, a great church family and, most importantly, two of the best little humans a couple of people could ask for. Ten years later you are still the person I want to grow old with.”

Forman was jailed without bail.

All these people dishonor their chosen religion, because all religions teach getting along with others around you as something valued by God. All religious holy books are written as allegorical lessons for living a better life. None can be taken literally, because none make sense literally. Fundamentalists always take their holy texts literally, and place themselves in an untenable situation where they are faced with religious writings that conflict, or simply don't make logical sense. Often their behaviors make as little sense as their views on the holy writings, but can be and sometimes are, harmful to others around them. In my experience, fundamentalists of any faith, are generally difficult people to get along with, trust, work with, be with or enjoy.

 

Does Islam teach that?

 

Which obviously has nothing to do with religion, and there's even a small chance here they could have gotten the wrong man, I might point out. (I mean it's not as if they caught him in the middle of the act)

They have to have pretty strong evidence before they charge someone, as it makes it more difficult to convict someone else if it should turn out they didn't do it. This is where the "Person of Interest" designation comes from, that being a way to formally keep someone from fleeing.

True, I have found that Fundamentalists are often rather flawed people who use religion as a justification for all the downright shitty things they like to do to others. Really religious people tend to be somewhat thoughtful and philosophical types who generally find simplistic fundamentalism unsatisfying

A pregnant woman was stabbed to death at an atm in my home town at around 3pm and then a few years after another at the same time at the same atm. So later I googled pregnant woman stabbed to death and found that pregnant woman are stabbed to death all the time and the vast majority by the fathers of the babes. How are we to protect women and babes from these assaults when any father may just start stabbing them? How can they call themselves a peaceful group when so many are prone to such atrocities?
