    1,100 former Justice Department employees have signed a letter calling for Attorney General Barr's resignation over his apparent following of direction from the president in cases involving the occupant of the White House.They are also requesting current employees of the department who have witnessed suspicious or direct violations of departmental policy to come forward and voice their concerns.

    I wonder how long it will be before Trump is trying to cancel their pensions?

    And he's just put in an urgent message to Putin for lots of Polonium

    There are a myriad of ways Trumpette's will dismiss this bi-partisan call for Barr to be held accountable for his despicable, dangerous behavior.
    Post #2 is an example. Condemnations such as these are unprecedented, yet they have become commonplace for Trump because what he does is so far out of the mainstream of previous prez's behavior.

    DOJ Alumni Statement on the Events Surrounding the Sentencing of Roger Stone
    https://medium.com/@dojalumni/doj-a...ng-the-sentencing-of-roger-stone-c2cb75ae4937

    We, the undersigned, are alumni of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) who have collectively served both Republican and Democratic administrations. Each of us strongly condemns President Trump’s and Attorney General Barr’s interference in the fair administration of justice.

    As former DOJ officials, we each proudly took an oath to support and defend our Constitution and faithfully execute the duties of our offices. The very first of these duties is to apply the law equally to all Americans. This obligation flows directly from the Constitution, and it is embedded in countless rules and laws governing the conduct of DOJ lawyers. The Justice Manual — the DOJ’s rulebook for its lawyers — states that “the rule of law depends on the evenhanded administration of justice”; that the Department’s legal decisions “must be impartial and insulated from political influence”; and that the Department’s prosecutorial powers, in particular, must be “exercised free from partisan consideration.”

    You get the flak when you're over the target. Sounds like Barr is getting some flak ;)

    And that’s how seriously they’re taking their own TRUMP’S DICTATORSHIP rhetoric.

    They’re willingly putting their own names on the lists.

    As "unprecendented" as this letter may be, considering the media induced polarization of the country, it is not surprising. And not to minimize its intent, but the one percent of DOJ alumni signatories do not speak for the other 99%. There were also similar criticisms of Obama and his "wingman" Holder for meddling in investigations and rulings, both local and federal. A major difference being that the leftist media poured cold water on the concerns about Obama/Holder, while upon this one with Trump/Barr they shovel the coal and stomp the bellows.

    Taking and oath on the bible means absolutely nothing to any of todays right wing politicians,witness the GOP senators in the impeachment trial.

    Why would you project Obama policies on Trump? Trump's not a fascist. He didn't deny free speech to organizations he didn't agree with. He didn't launch an investigation of a reporter he didn't like. He didn't spy on millions of Americans. He didn't weaponize the IRS to audit political opponents. He didn't let guns walk to drug cartels to get Americans killed to justify infringing on the rights of all Americans.

    Report back when Trump comes close to being the fascist Obama was.

    But not the House which found him guilty and then expected the Senate to find the evidence. Just declare him guilty, eh? Classic!

    Here's an old set of metrics to test whether Trump is near the fascist that The Hussein was:
    Let us know when Trump:

    Weaponizes the IRS, attacking opponents with audits and other forms of harassment;

    Lets assault weapons walk across the southern border in an attempt to have American bodies justify the repeal of the 2nd Amendment;

    Has a Lois Lerner clone slow walk applications for raising funds to support free speech he didn't agree with;

    Unleashes the NSA to spy on American citizens, sends his NSA Director to Congress to lie about it, exiling anyone who blows the whistle on his crimes and lies;

    Orders the investigation of a reporter who like James Rosen reports news he didn't like;

    Orders the high tech assassination of an American Citizen like Anwar al-Awlaki on suspicion of crimes, creating a new form of due process;

    Forces American citizens to buy products and services whether they need or want them.

    It's such a relief after Obama's fascist regime that it's no wonder Trump's supporters haven't abandoned freedom, but are vigilant. We are on the lookout for fascist policies from the Trump Administration that we endured under Obama. Haven't experienced any yet.

    It's induced by Trump.

    *The letter calls on every Justice Department employee to follow the “heroic” example of the four prosecutors who quit the Stone case “and be prepared to report future abuses to the Inspector General, the Office of Professional Responsibility, and Congress; to refuse to carry out directives that are inconsistent with their oaths of office; to withdraw from cases that involve such directives or other misconduct; and, if necessary, to resign and report publicly — in a manner consistent with professional ethics — to the American people the reasons for their resignation.”

    They aren't heroes. They were plants on the Mueller team to undermine the Trump Presidency and severely punish anyone who dared to be a Trump friend or acquaintance. It took 18 armed agents, a chopper and CNN to arrest the septagenarian and his disabled septagenarian wife. Too bad you are so gullible you believe everything flowing out of the toilet of the fascist left.

    Wow, hook, line and sinker....you're literally bathing in the right wing pablum.

    This is a prime example of the sort of disinformation you've gobbled up over the years by listening to Faux News and the rest of the right wing echo chamber. At the very least, familiarize yourself with the definition.

    coup
    /ko͞o/
    noun
    1. 1.
      a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government.
      "he was overthrown in an army coup"

    Now, if you care to point where the violence and illegal seizure have occured, please provide the links.
