So why did you abbreviate that but no other words?

It's a very, very common abbreviation. It's like using $ instead of dollar. Extremely common.

Maybe, but why that specific word? I mean it's easier to type 'without' than w(case change)/(another case change)o - don't you agree?

The BBC is widely respected for being unbiased by those whom it is biased towards.

And widely derided for it's bias by all the others.

The whole problem is that mating is a highly ambigious process for all parties.
Not to mention a massive hormonal attack on reasonable thought.

It's a wonder people manage to breed at all.

We are not talking about dating, mating or breeding. We are talking about men who are incapable of treating women in a non-sexual way--at work, in professional situations, with someone whom don't know or have a relationship with, etc. You do not treat a woman differently than you would a man. You don't say suggestive, sexual things to her, you don't man-handle her, you don't force kisses or any other physical contact. It seems quite simple and straightforward to me. Why do men have such a problem with it?

    Same reason women do.

We are human. Breeding is part of our nature.

You know what a pheromone is?
It's a chemical trigger. When a woman is on heat near me, I get an erection.
    Not my fault.
I'm very testosterone. I trigger the same responses in females.

Men get groped and chatted up in the workplace too. This is hardly a behaviour limited to men.
Personally I find it rude not to compliment a women on her physical attractiveness.
Ungentlemanly not to recognise the efforts she has made towards making herself attractive. Make up, hair, clothing. All mating displays.

To recognise this is to reassure her of her attractiveness. A compliment.
Some mad women take offense to this but most enjoy it in the spirit it is intended.
    And indeed reciprocate it.

It is a mutual stroking of personal self esteem. Of emotional benefit to each other.

This is normal human interaction and a person incapable of this is a highly unprofessional person. A social drongo unable to keep their anti-social behaviour/poor attitude to others, in check in the workplace.

And yes the correct balance between flirtation and pestering is something of an art form and utterly varies from person to person. Not an exact science. Patience, tolerance and understanding with others is required amongst civilised people.

If a man and a women were never allowed to interact on a sexual basis, never allowed to discuss areas of sexuality openly, how would they ever work out if each other were single or mutually attracted. The human race would end in a single generation.

I met my love at work. A great many of us do.

I'm sure women having their insides ravaged from Abortion will help lower the population numbers, as a percentage of them aren't to have children again.

It's true that comparing rape and sexual assault statistics can be difficult, considering the differing legal definitions for these crimes in various countries, but that's not what is at issue, it's in the increase in rape/sexual assault in Sweden.

Swedish Gang Rapes: Hundreds Protest After Third Attack In Weeks Leaves 17-Year-Old Hospitalized

    Dec 22, 2017 10:39 AM

Hundreds took to the streets in the southern Swedish town of Malmo this week to protest the government's response to a three brutal gang rapes of teenage girls over a three week period - the most recent of which took place in a playground last Saturday and left a 17-year-old girl hospitalized.

Authorities haven't disclosed the identity of the suspect(s) and have offered scant details of the attack - though it has been described by authorities as particularly brutal, with unconfirmed reports on social media claiming the victim had lighter fluid poured in her vagina and set on fire.

"We have been policemen for a long time, several of us, I have been working for 35 years, and we have not had such a thing before. You've really crossed a border, it's a very unusual treatment, says Inner Police Commander Mats Attin to SVT News Skene. -SVT (translated)

Attin adds that the 17-year-old victim was exposed to a "special ruthlessness," during the violent encounter, however he did not go into further detail. "We have received information from the public that we find very interesting. This is a horrendous crime," said Anders Nilsson who is leading the preliminary investigation.

Police say that there is no obvious connection between the incidents, which all took place between midnight and 3am, at playgrounds, in which the assailants were all young men and unknown to their teenage victims, reports SVT. The DNA of the perpetrators has been sent off for analysis, with police hoping to receive answers during the Christmas holidays.

Swedish authorities initially told residents not to worry, however they changed their tune in light of mounting public outrage - telling local women "These predators focus on single women who move themselves outside, adding 'It's about common sense. We are not warning people not to be outside, but to think twice and maybe not walk alone late at night and instead go with others or take a taxi,' said Nilsson.

After a national backlash, Malmo police retracted their statement, with Mr Nilsson saying he had been 'clumsy' choosing his words.

The protesters in Malmo outlined a series of demands on the Swedish government - which prides itself on being feminist: tougher punishment for rapes, a Minster of Justice with competence in sexual violence issues and a National Police Commissioner 'who cares about women' - according to the Daily Mail.

Gang rapes were virtually unknown to Sweden before 1995, and rapidly rose with the tide of primarily Islamic asylum seekers from third world countries. In 2008, Sweden's Crime Prevention Council published a report on rape against people over the age of 15, which concluded "rapes with several perpetrators" (gang rapes) have increased sharply since the mid-90's. In 1995, there were 116 reported gang rapes in Sweden. In 2006, that had jumped to 553 - an increase of nearly 500% over ten years.

One of the worst cases occurred in 2012, writes Swedish journalist Ingrid Carlqvist for the Gatestone Institute, when a 30-year old woman was raped by eight men in a housing project for asylum seekers, in the small town of Mariannelund. The woman was an acquaintance of a man from Afghanistan who had lived in Sweden for a number of years. He invited her to go out with him. She obliged. The Afghan man took her to a refugee housing project and left her defenseless. During the night, she was raped repeatedly by the asylum seekers and when her "friend" returned, he raped her too. The following morning she managed to call the police. Sweden's public prosecutor has called the incident "the worst crime of rape in Swedish criminal history."

One thing we need to understand is that Sweden is a very feminist country which passed a tougher legislation in 2013, resulting in the recent rise in sexual offences recorded in the country. Even normal sex between married couples can constitute rape, if it has been done without consent, which was why Julian Assange got into trouble in Sweden. His crime is not using a condom correctly with his Swedish girlfriend who claimed to have been raped and he has been stuck in the Ecuadorian embassy for many years because of the silly mistake.

One has to wonder why Swedish politicians keep continuously passing ever more laws to expand the definition of "sexual offenses" when the number of real rapes is what is dramatically increasing. (Hardly need a new law when rape is already a criminal offence)

Someone more cynically minded might suspect they were passing these pieces of legislation as a cover to obscure the rape statistics.

Or the government could simply be pandering <Mod Edit> trying to make it look like they're doing something about the rape problem.

By the way, the latest report shows that for 2017 the rape rate went up 14 percent compared to the previous year.

    https://ledarsidorna.se/2017/09/bra-valdtakter-upp-14-procent/

It's also important to point out that the law enforcement statistics draw a distinction between sexual offenses (sexualbrott) and rape (våldtäkt).

Their choice, as it should be. Too bad the LWers think everyone should think the same way...or else. They certainly believe that about the States.
