I am not unfamiliar with urban threats, (grew up in Johannesburg and walked around carrying a weapon for several years). Yes it's true worse things happen, unfortunately for the police the whole thing was captured on camera. I think police in Moscow need to be aware they will be filmed... dragging citizens away as young as ten looks very bad.

I explained what the situation was, even, and pointed at INTENT of the OP, and all you did - watched video of a thrashing child and yelling woman, whose language you do not even know, and made a judgement based on opinion of a chauvinist. And I AM the one who is somehow WRONG there? Seriously?

 

She is not biological mother of the child and she referred to herself as "familiar" with child and as "neighbour", and did that after she for good few minutes yelled hysterically and ran around with a smartphone.

If that is your understanding of proper course of actions when child gets in troubles OR, save you God from that, in any sort of REAL DANGER - get your child a caretaker, a responsible and capable one, and just work for the family's good, without participating in raising the poor kid.

I do not say they could've not handled situation better, it could've been handled better and usually it does, but this time it went that way, and definitely member of police there are not the only ones to blame. Their job is to protect people, not cure paranoia or whatever driven the woman that filmed video into running around screaming instead of actually helping the kid. Normally. As ADULT ought to do. ESPECIALLY a parent or a caretaker.
