It weighs about 3 ounces, A 16 week fetus looks different in different women. I didn’t show till the 5th month and I was thin. I wanted to show so badly!

If it’s born it isnt a fetus anymore...why not call it a living zygote?

A fetus at 16 weeks is said to be the size of an avocado (that's bundled up into a ball, not stretched out). At 19 weeks it's said to be the size of a mango.

It's not like there's open space inside of a woman's abdomen (actually those organs are pretty cramped together and tightly fitted) so when the uterus expands it should become evident.

A baby at 24 weeks is said to be only the size of a cantaloupe, and sometimes they do survive.

An avocado is not very big and plenty of girls have tummies.
after the fifth month it really starts growing and then it’s hard to ignore

What the girl looked like, whether she "showed" or not has NOTHING to do with the topic or the OP:

"""""""""""""""""""""An 11-year-old rape victim in Argentina was forced to deliver her baby prematurely by caesarean section despite requesting an abortion, sparking an outcry by women's rights campaigners.

    Key points:
    • The girl was raped by her grandmother's 65-year-old boyfriend
    • Authorities took five weeks to decide whether to go ahead with an abortion
    • Doctor then deemed it unsafe and carried out a premature C-section

The girl became pregnant after being raped by her grandmother's 65-year-old boyfriend, according to local media reports.

When she was 19 weeks pregnant she went to a public hospital in Argentina's north-western province of Tucuman to request an abortion, the reports said.

Abortion in Argentina is only allowed when pregnancy is the result of rape, or when the mother's health is at risk.

Amnesty International said the girl met both those criteria.

But local authorities took nearly five weeks to decide whether to go ahead with the abortion, while several doctors refused to carry out the procedure on the grounds of "conscientious objection", according to local media.

The delays meant the pregnancy continued to 23 weeks, when doctors decided it was too risky for the girl's health to go ahead with an abortion.

What is really disturbing about this is that they not only put this very young child”s health at risk but also put the baby at extreme risk. If they wanted to deny an abortion entirely why not wait a few more weeks until the baby had a better chance?""""""""""""""""""

A cantaloupe is not very big either, and that's all the girl was made to carry.

What makes you think they were wrong?

They obviously decided it would be safer to take it out of her tommy than go in through her vagina.
And since they were taking it out of her tummy, there was no reason to abort it.

Cantalope come in all different sizes and YOU have no idea how big the girl was...

Now WTF does that have to do with anything??

    WTF difference did it make?
    NONE.

Whether she "showed " or not has nothing to do with the OP.....and it's starting to look like a real unhealthy obsession with 11 year old girl's body.

Obviously too small to give birth to a baby, you say, but apparently too big for anyone to notice that cantaloupe, you also claim.

:) I see you still don't have anything relevant to say and HAD to cherry pick my post and COULD NOT ANSWER MY QUESTIONS AS USUAL….here's the rest of it that you couldn't address:

    WHAT wasn't "that bad"?

HOW do YOU know it wasn't "that bad"?

WHY would anyone think how "bad" YOU thought it was mattered??

What are your credentials that you think you can make a determination of how"" bad" it was or wasn't.

Explain how you were right there with the doctors ????

Yes, misogynists don't think anything that happens to women and girls is really "that bad"......that's a justification so they can do even worse things to them...

What makes you so sure abortion was the easier and better route?
Do you just unquestionably assume abortion was the right decision, even though you know NOTHING about this girl's particular circumstances?

Would it have been the doctors' fault for refusing to abort when they could feel kicking through the girl's tommy?
Could YOU bring yourself to perform an abortion under those circumstances??

Talking to anyone in particular or just giving a speech?

Yes, at 19 weeks abortion is the better route especially since the girl asked to have the thing taken out.

Show PROOF the doctors felt kicking. ...and at 19 weeks it doesn't matter what they felt, abortion should be legal at that point.

And it was taken out a few weeks later.

Don't see the big deal here.

I'm sure the fetus will be thankful it got the chance to LIVE when it becomes older.

And maybe that girl will look back when she is older and be glad she didn't have her baby killed.
(and I do not mean to be insensitive at all to how that pregnancy came about to begin with, but the fact was the pregnancy was now at 19 weeks and what was past was in the past)

You have NO way of knowing that.

You have NO way of knowing that.

NO, one cannot minimize the rape of 11 year old ( or anyone else) by saying "what was in the past is in the past"

And I’m sure the fetus who wasn’t allowed to develop, wouldn’t know about life so it wouldn’t care. What you’re doing is personifying a ZEF

Isn't this thread about a 19 week old fetus? Sounds like you are the one depersonifying.

A fetus cannot be DEpersonified since it was never a person to start with...
