I love pieces like this. Now – if they would only help me get rid of that big, bulging belly that's been there for decades!!!

Some good reasons to eat chili and drink hot chocolate

They’re called “comfort” foods for a reason—they bring back warm memories, tickle your taste buds, and soothe your soul. Though some comfort foods are deep-fried, covered in cheese, or packed with sugar, some can actually help you lose weight. Beat the battle of the bulge with the following cozy eats.

Hot Chocolate – for some reason, not something I'd go out of my way for
Collard Greens – my grandmother fed them to me all the time.
Chicken Noodle Soup – oh for a real home-made version!
Coffee – no need to say more than I drink at least 12 cups a day
Pot Roast – did one last night in a slow cooker. Not bad.
Oatmeal – my wife likes it
Roasted Carrots – had them with the pot roast
Red Wine – I prefer Riesling
Pumpkin – a good old American Indian food
Chili – what kind? Gotta have lots of chilis and not those wuzzy Jalapeño ones.
Chickpeas – been a long time
Roasted Potatoes – still like baked more.
Mashed Sweet Potatoes – another grandmother's dish that I just can't get into.

And they all come with recipes! Plus another link to “Best Superfoods for Weight Loss”

Oh yeah. The link includes one of my favorites- guacamole!!! And, in Germany, lentil soup is something I went out of my way for. Pine nuts? You bet! Quinoa is something I have to try someday.
