Russia did a really poor job transitioning from a Command Economy to a Market Economy.

Note that oil, natural gas, coal and mining are all Capital-intensive, requiring huge amounts of cash Capital, which denies cash Capital for the expansion of heavy manufacturing, light manufacturing and services.

    What is about Ukraine?

Nearly 60% of Ukrainians live below poverty line - UN About 60% of Ukraine’s population is now living under the line of poverty, Neal Walker, United Nations Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine, said while presenting in Kyiv on Thursday UNDP’s latest Human Development Report.

We shall begin to talk about Ukraine which is going five times much worst as Russia.
    And about its Bandera Nazis.
Almost 80 % of people earn wage between $100 - $200 monthly by european prizes.

I'm not talking about Ukraine, it's has its own problems, the thread is about russia, and how many can't afford food? Perhaps they should ask Putinka and Medvedev to chip in , considering they have billions$$$, if they care that is!

Going back to your message of how Ukraine and Poland were the same in 1991 in terms of economy, well that was then, Poland threw off the shackles of oppression and tyranny, and proceeded to the task of nation building and market economy, along with the other former Warsaw pact countries, whereas in Ukraine , everything that wasn't nailed or welded down was stolen and stashed in those "cursed" western banks and institutions. The oligarchs who did the thefts werent interested in "nation" building or any improvements to the social structure of the country. So when they're saying that 60%+ live below poverty line, that stems back long before the current situation at hand.

In my opinion Ukraine has more problems as Russia, therefore we shall discuss them.
But the biggest problem of Ukraine is it run by Bandera NSDAP SS Hardcore brainless Nazis who already ruined it.

Lol, well usually when the referral to Nazis and SS is made, is an indication that you've lost the argument before it's been made.

Hmmm, nothing, old habits die hard. Poland, Hungary, czech, Bulgaria, romania, Germany(east Germany), had a market system in place long before the iron curtain closed(stalin walked in and took it, basically), and when it all came crashing in 89, it was easier for those same oppressed to return to their original system before the socialist BS. As for ukraine, Russia, Belarus, they've never had this type of governance , so after the collapse you've had nothing but upheaval ever since.

    Not surprising.

Unless one is willing to join Putin's State-Run Mafia or is a Young Hottie that can make a career in the Sex Industry, financial prospects in Russia are pretty slim.

    14 million seems low.

If US and Western sanctions are starving 14,000,000 Russians to death it is a clear prelude to war and likely a justification for it. However, I believe the article is a lie and it is just a Ukraine hate-on-Russia blog, nothing more.

By "Nazi" you mean anyone who opposes surrendering their country to the Empire of Islam and refuses to give government welcomed invading Muslim men their daughters and wives for gang rape, while also opposing Russia taking over their country, correct?

How much better? Don't forget, you have russian troops in the LDPR, that's putting a heavy strain on Ukraine's economy, Russia can't be doing that much better when over 10% have no money for food , or are homeless?

No one exactly said due to sanctions, I said, "can it be"? Maybe Putinka and Medvedev should open their wallets and help feed his flock, but it's highly doubtful. I would probably read and believe anything out of Ukraine right about now, some of the stuff you read in russian papers you read is hilarious and frightening, I would sooner trust some dude wearing a hockey mask, holding a chainsaw, to do my knee surgery, than to trust any russian newspapers from that part of the world?

    Credit where credit is due.

The EU paid more than 200 billion € direct to Poland since 1990 and the Polish people were able to earn money in the Schengen Zone and a lot of them migrated to western Europe.

The Western sanctions are about money transactions and technology exports, the food sanctions are Russian counter sanctions.

If it's not about Ukraine, then let's try some "non-Ukrainian" sources? :)

I've just checked some different sources and I must admit that I wasn't aware of the poverty problems in Russia, I thought they do better.

The minimum wage is at 7.500 rubles (123 €) and the living wage is at 9.889 rubles (175 €). Over 20 million Russians have less than the living wage, about 14% of the population, according to Russian statistics (ROSSTAT). Having the minimum wage under the living wage is ignoring Russian laws from 2003.

    And what's the PPP ????

As if that 123 Euros in Russia have the same purchasing power in Germany...

But wait... Who the fck cares about some basic economics when we got the opportunity to bury Russia alive, tho the burial takes place in a cyber space like this...

Because you know, we just fcked it up when we tried to do that in person and had to run back like lil pusssies... :(
