17-year-old Antwon Rose was fleeing and unarmed when police in East Pittsburgh shot him

It made perfect sense, white flag noted. But do tell me what do you find nonsensical about not trying to evade police apprehension?

It's someone in a vehicle matching the description of a drive by with bullet holes in it, guns in the car, and empty firearm magazines in their pockets.

 

How many black men have gone to prison in this country because they matched the description of someone black in a crime?

I don’t disagree Mac, but I see a young man fleeing away and getting shot in the back and that doesnt pass the smell test for me was all.

 

I absolutly do question them. That’s our job as citizens to question power.

Criminal homicide charges filed against Michael Rosfeld. The DA disagrees with you.

"Allegheny County district attorney Stephen Zappala announced Wednesday that criminal homicide charges are being filed against Michael Rosfeld, the East Pittsburgh police officer who shot and killed Antwon Rose.

Zappala said at a news conference that Rose, a 17-year-old from Rankin, was sitting in the front passenger seat of a car involved in a drive-by shooting in North Braddock on June 19. Zappala said video evidence shows shots fired out of the back seat of that car, and the shooter was wearing a dark shirt.

Rose was wearing a white shirt.

“By all accounts, Mr. Rose didn't do anything resembling any crimes,” said Zappala.

Zappala added that eyewitness accounts and a video posted to Facebook indicated that when the car was pulled over by East Pittsburgh police 13 minutes later, Rose exited the vehicle, quickly showed officer Rosfeld his hands and then ran. Rosfeld then shot at Rose three times, killing him.

“I find Rosfeld’s actions to be intentional,” said Zappala.

The requirement is to be in good physical condition. Your comment about being a track star is a straw man. I already posted physical fitness requirements but in case you missed it:

Dexterity and coordination are critical to police service. The ability to properly discharge and reload a firearm is contingent upon the dexterity of the officer. They don't care too it's just the latest outrage.

That being said I think it's going to be difficult for an officer to prove that he had to shoot somebody that was fleeing.

There is justifiable homicide and then there is Criminal homicide.

I really don't think this officer has much to stand on. But we shall see. There always seems to be more to these stories then what the preliminary outrage professionals indicate.
